I have a three story high compound on 1536m^2 of land... but I can't see it on the map... I can see the somewhat smaller casion next to my place, and I can see the advertising boxes that were on my land...
So my question is, how often does the map update?

At the moment, whenever the Map Linden decides to run the script.
Generally every couple of days.

(I assume we are talking about the homepage map, not the in-world map?)
Acontia didn't update for several weeks, because my tower wasn't showing up ... just the old prefab I had put up in mid-October. Now it has finally been changed, because my tower is showing up at last.
Unfortunately, I moved my tower to new land last weekend, so it's not longer on the site the map shows it. Argh. (Acontia is the third sim down from the northern edge of the world on the northern continent, three sims in from the west coast. Two sims north and 1 west of the Great Wall's northern end. It has a blue rectangle in the Southwest corner.)
