I think Games Prototype summed up a lot of what I and many are thinking. I have played SL since aug 04 and I learned early on that LL likes to implement changes and swift, no matter how drastic. I also learned that if you were not one to quickly adapt you best move out of the way cause regardless of how much you disagree the change will happen. It is those who can change with LL that last. I have been rolling with the punches for a long time. Constantly restructuring many of my businesses in SL with each change.

This one takes the cake. Not only am I having a hard enough time working with less linden flowing in but now it seems we are going to have a hard time selling our hard earned Linden. I also agree I’m sick of the vague announcements throwing people in a panic which can cause people to dump their L thus bringing the L down further and then LL feels they must do something drastic to "help" stabilize the economic. Talk about the great big circle of crap o.o

I would like to veto this bill...

Way to go Linden Labs. 24 hours later almost 7 million Lindens 300 or higher compared to last night when the rate was 299. Thats even after 7 million were sold today. I haven't raised prices at all since I started in December, but it looks like this is the way its going to be for now on. What is Linden Labs up to, don't know? I guess fear of the unknown is a good way to kill the economy.

I'm not understanding this Eloise.

How will LL selling at $L250/$1 stablise the market when those potential buyers would be better off buying the $L from the LindeX at the current $L300+/$1?

It won't. Momentary brain fart. Sorry.

Fear of the unknown is always a good way to kill an economy, and releasing such peculiarly short of information ideas into a market place that they've already taken steps to try and stablise does seem like an odd move.

I'm a little more reassured by Robin's words that it will be an occasional tool to continue keeping the money supply per capita at around the right amount but still lacking any hard information, and volatile markets react quickly and usually all too predictably badly to uncertainty, changes and the like. This time was no exception. It does leave you wondering why they felt they had to change the TOS now...
