I still think he ought to be taken at face value as a devout (if personally irritating) political activist.
I still think that he could be encourged by periodic brief, supportive, sincere IMs from folks (or objects belonging to folks) who share his rather dramatically publicized views.
I still think the concept of freedom of expression can be _carefully_ travelled as a two-way street without generating any basis for formal complaint. Particularly when the communications are sympathetic in tone.

I own a lovely island in Hikuelo...and there are so many lovely builds there...Aaron Perkins' modern masterpiece...an exquisite temple by the talented Athel Richelieu...and the newest...a marvelous home by Drake and Topaz Qin. Of course NOTHING tops these builds except...a HUGE bunch of playing cards spewing out to one side of the community.... So..what I did was make a partially successful large billboard of pretty pictures of falls and castles...and a scroll saying something about 'excellence' to hide the monstrosity and hopefully suggest an alternate way for the SL member to advertise. Unfortunately the billboard is not the most aesthetic thing..and the 'hint' about excellence, large as it is, is still not sufficient to penetrate a high density cranium.... The cards still spew
