Why would you be calling for people to sell when the value is low?

Seems to me that would just make it worse.

RBD Believe me i am concerned just as much as you Jamie and every one else are with the fall of the L$ but when you continually post that the sky is falling you do no good but breed fear in people to sell causing the L$ to fall faster or more then it would on its own.

and when you end a post like this

See you @ L$500 / 1 USD by the end of the year.

It leads me to believe that you may have alterior motives for making such posts

it makes me believe that the OP is attempting to scare people in to selling now and causing a panic sell on the market

and hence why i have reported this thread weather it does any good or not remains to be seen.
I also believe that such posts are inflammatory in nature and should not be allowed

So they get at least SOME money for their L$'s.

The L$ will fall no matter what... the faster you cash out, the more you get.

What makes you believe it should be worth any more than that to begin with, let alone keep steady exchange rate with real world money over years? It's a make-believe currency used exclusively to purchase virtual trinkets in non existing world. Which gives it _extremely_ narrow application when compared with USD. Little use = little demand = exchange rate gets worse. Hardly rocket science...

even if just a few people pop in and see such posts and react to the post and sell on a Tuesday when the Linden takes a normal dip then that's too many

Well, I don't think that would be a very bright plan. I've always believed in BUYING low and selling HIGH.

I believe that is what Jamie is doing. She buys using limit buy orders that are probably set at L$360/1 or higher and when she can panic the market into selling to her she sells at L$335/1.

That is much better than what we saw earlier when people were buying at L$344/1 and selling at L$326/1 which btw haven't sold yet so the currency traders who are thinly capatilized are now locked at a rate that may not sell until the weekend. These poor souls can't buy at the rate Jamie can and you people don't think she is smart. I think she is extremely clever.

Not many people are using the Lindex (compared to RL markets). Due to that it is easier for one individual to manipulate the market.

You got it backwards a bit there. Sells move faster than buys, so it pretty much only seems to work if you first sell at $335, and then panic the market up to $360 to buy. O course panicking the market to make it go up THAT much also means you loose a lot on inflation (besides, $360 almost never sells, anyway). So best bet is sell for $335, set a buy for $347 to $350, wait for the market to slowly rise (or buy orders to slowly fill), and hope that people don't panic and overshoot your buy order, making you loose out with inflation.

btw, what do you mean thinly capitalized are locked? People can always move their offer, and if by "thinly" you mean having little capital, then those can usually sell really quickly by undercutting a bit.

Any currency trader who only has enough USD to trade say L$100,000 at a time and must sell before he can make another limit buy is thinly capitalized. If you bought L$100,000 at L$344/1 and offered the same L$100,000 at L$326/1 you will make a profit when it sells. However when that sell offer doesn't get executed and the existing highest sell offer is L$333/1 you can't sell your L$100,000 at that rate and make a profit.

If everyone listened to you the L will fall. What do you think will happen? Now how about everyone who sold at 335 last week and it went down to 320/1. Those that sold at 320 are the smart ones and Jamie is the one selling at 340/1.

Oh and by the way, its will be 300/1 soon if normal evening spending occurs.
OMG hurray up and buy buy buy before it gets back down to 320/1 again.

At that 500 pricepoint it will eventually hit, I plan to mass purchase and resell at 250. I'd be happy to set up a "trust" with anyone else interested in doing this to force the market to where we want it. Pricefix the LindeX? Sure.
