From: Cristiano Midnight What protections do Dreamland deed owners have against islands being sold? None. Nor, in my opinion, should they have. Each person has desided to do business with this company with that understanding. It is, like many things in life, a gamble. They are betting that it works out in their favor. End of story.

End of story. Then please, by all means, tell that to Anshe, who is campaigning in another thread against a company. Investors in Ginko know full well they could lose all of the money they have invested, and are told this up front. I don't think people buying land from Dreamland are told that Anshe could default on it, and they are powerless to do anything about that.

From: Cocoanut Koala I agree wholeheartedly. It's been going on since I've been here. coco Why am I not surprised. How is asking how they are protected attacking Anshe, any more than Anshe's thread about Ginko is supposedly not attacking them. I asked a legitimate, respectful question. Remember that thing you say you are always doing - questioning things. People buying land from Anshe are taking a risk. People investing in Ginko are taking a risk. The really sad thing here is Anshe using her market position and clout to try to slur Ginko, a direct competitor. Of course you aren't up in arms about that, you'll just gloss right over that one. Sad really.

From: Athene Mason Why is everyone always attacking Cheung?
Now granted, I myself have heard the horror stories involved with doing bysiness with her. But I've never seen them. I've never talked to the woman to get her views on what people say about her.
Ms. Cheung is clever, and a business genius. That's really all their is to it. Do you all hate Ansche so much because she did what you could have done, but did it first? She's not the only land baron in SL, you know. Yeah that's it, everyone is just SO JEALOUS of her. What a ridiculous argument. Spend some time reading the Ginko thread, and see Anshe's wonderful tactics in action. Again, how is asking for the same guarantees she is demanding of another company that SHE IS NOT EVEN INVESTED IN attacking her? Come back with a better argument.

Yep, I'm powerless to stop Anshe from defaulting. Until she does I have a nice plot in Dreamland. Beautifully planned, strict zoning to keep it that way. But, like the defenders of Ginko tell us, she's been in business so long it can't really be a risk right? I mean, she's been in business LONGER than Ginko Financial, and we all know the rock solid reputation of Ginko!

From: Tren Neva Conversions ARE meaningless IF everyone was putting in their USD valued life savings into SL. For the most part, people are putting in a few bucks. Just like any bank, however, more investment means more payoff. Also, just like any bank, we could very well be hit by a meteorite and explode. Anshe could very well just run away, just like Ginko could. Nothing is stopping anything from happening. Well, I've known some people to put in a lot more than a 'few bucks'. And, unfortunately, if and when this implodes it will undermine the trust in the economy which makes it harder for the honest ones among us to do business.
