....for being asleep at the switch when I bought my 5,568 sqm for 1L per meter! I can honestly say it was quite a fun feeling seeing all those plots around me, being sold by the top names, for more of course, while I was snatching up all those little wonderful public land plots, one after another.... So, for whatever reason you decided to sleep in, got drunk last night or whatever.... THANKS!Heheheh

That would explain all the sales I saw around me at 4x multipliers Haw. It is very nice though, I really dig the waterfall.

Geez, a *snow sim*? A *PG* snow sim? Are you nuts? You will find yourself publicking this again yourself soon.
I also found some publicked land yesterday in Gogebic, mature, waterview, flat, near telehub and doubled my money but I should have just waited another day or so to quadruple my money, just not land baron enough I guess.
: )
Um...wanna buy in lovely tropical PG waterfront Ku hahahahahaha?

Yeah, you got a steal....
Of course my in-game wife released over 3,000 m2 a couple of weeks ago in a mature snow sim due to how great it was. The fog that would roll through the house was probably what was the most annoying thing about it. She now has a really nice waterfront lot in a tropical sim and is very happy. Says she didn't mind releasing the land because even if she did sell it, she would have only gotten a fraction of what she paid for it anyway and would rather pay tiers on land she liked.

You can turn that fog off in debug (clouds).

What's Wrong With Snow?
03-02-2005 15:33
Suffering, my home, is in a PG snow sim-Kendall to be exact, and I'm quite happy there. Great scenery, great view of the sunrise/set, wonderful neighbors (Hi, Carrina!), and there's a slope for snowboarding right behind me! Say what you want about PG snow sims-I love my lil piece of SL. -Kiamat Dusk Avid Snowboarder

OMG you can turn off the fog with the debug panel!!!! OMG OMG!!
/sarcasm
Yes, we know. You have to turn it off. You have to turn it off every time you relog, everytime you come into the game as well. It is annoying and you get sick of it after a while. Perpetual winter can have a detrimental effect on some people I suppose.

The price of land has been increasing in the snow sim I call home. Had a chance the other day to buy a little tropical island adjacent to little islands owned by good friends, but I like it too well where I am.

Perpetual winter can have a detrimental effect on some people I suppose. Wow. I guess you really are pissed about that land. It was in no way meant as a slight. Sigh. I lived on a mountian for a long time, so yes, I turned it off. It's what, 3 or 4 mouse movements? Oh the horror and inconvenience. I also turn off other things. I didn't realize giving <apparently unwelcome> advice was a "please slag me" invitation. You are apparently dead-on with the bit about perpetual winter having a detrimental effect on some people... Then again, I live in MN, the state with half a year of winter, the coldest average temps in the contiguous US, and I don't get all pissy when someone offers me some info that they didn't know that I knew already.

Is it just me?

I've noticed some land barons are not buying in the grid as much, as they buy up telehub land. I've also noticed they are selling alot of their land in the grid too to free up land tier. I wonder what this will do to the price of land?

I like it because its near a large waterfall in Cottonmouth, or whatever that sim name is. I had to turn off local lighting, some adjacent stuff was lagging me - but that was probably overdue as most people don't really use that feature too well in their builds.
I'm also across from lisse, so that's cool too, and near an 'edge of the world' also bordered by linden land, etc...as for fog -- not really any at this height, so I'm cool there too. I guess it would get annoying if you were on a mountain or whatever, but I'm not.
I'm also not near a telehub, which means I'll 'miss out' seeing all the really *well textured shops that usually spring up there* (sarcasm!) like every other telehub.
All in all, a great purchase, made sweeter by the fact that there are plots selling for a lot more, for a lot less sq/m.

From: Hank Ramos Snow Bunny Baron! I don't think you can own 2000 sq. meters of land and call yourself a baron. Well at least not without people laughing at you.
