You see, our experts describe you as an appallingly dull fellow, unimaginative, timid, lacking in initiative, spineless, easily dominated, no sense of humour, tedious company and irrepressibly drab and awful. And whereas in most professions these would be considerable drawbacks, in chartered accountancy they are a positive boon.

Prokofy that sounds like a good idea to me, though my current tier is actually 1024 (yes I want biggger than first land!). So maybe I'll donate the whole lot for 1024? I am, alas at work now, or I would take my 512 off the market straightaway. Still we can Work out the details.

Splat1, please lay off the multiple images on these threads. It's approaching spamming levels.

Thanks.

Here we go, my first-ever post to the fora. Countdown to "Aliasi is just a shill" in 3...2...1...

I cannot speak for everyone who has dealt with Prokofy. But I can speak for me.

I'm a newbie; only been in SL for a little under two months. I took the free trial, thought it looked neat, went for the $10-one-time-only deal, decided I wanted land, upgraded to the $10-a-month package. Then I went shopping - I got a fairly nice First Land parcel right next to a mountain, in the corner of the "valley". The clutter of other people followed, but I was really frustrated about the space. More prims are nice, but 512 was cramped for the kind of stuff I want to do.

Anyway, I wanted to get a larger plot but didn't want to pay extra tier - working out the money, it was cheaper to rent than buy land and upgrade. I sold off my first land to Prok and am, right this very moment, looking at the rental options.

I was not some uninformed, helpless newb. I had considered selling my land on the open market, saw a glut of plots in my sim, and the price Prok offered was about the average of the going prices. (Hell, full disclosure. I got L$3,500 out of it.) I haven't picked out my plot yet, just call me indecisive.

Now, with my L$500-a-week stipend and tier donation, I can easily rent a larger plot with more prims. I won't have much money coming in, but once I grabbed some basics, I find I don't really spend it. I spend a bundle when Kage Seraph makes a new mech and that's about it. :D

So the way I look at it, I've basically pulled L$3,000 out of thin air, got a better plot of land, and have better neighbors. And this is cheating the newbie?

I can also attest that Prok is really a great guy. Very free with his knowledge and ideas.

Something I can not say for a lot of much more senior people in SL.

And here we have it again, more unsubstantiated claims which are insultive. How many "senior" SLers told you to go to hell blaze, when you asked for help with something? I can tell you from experience most senior players are more than willing to help. If you know of some isolated incidents, that does not paint a picture that "lot of much more senior people in SL" are selfish. It would be like me saying; "A lot of much more new people in SL are bad people because a few are jerks."

Are there older players that are jerks? Of course. Are there midbies and newbies that are jerks too? Of course. Is that cause for someone to spam the forums for months, claiming that most midbies or newbies are jerks? Nope.
