Have always wondered, how does a trading floor actually work?

You see traders yelling stuff, who are they yelling at?

And why yell? Why not buy and sell online or at least via computer.

The way in which they trade is just an old method and actual lots of trading is done via computers. More so than person to person in a pit. But what you see in the picture is the CBOT in Chicago. The reason they yell is because of the number of people mobbed on the floor. They usually use hand signs. But the fundementals are the same, Buyers are Hooked up with Sellers, a price is agreed on, and a transaction occurs. Either via computer or person to person through trader reps.

Better buy up... The last run on the L$ ran it up to nearly L$6.00 a block. Its been on a decline because of inflation. But with LL correcting the inflation problem, the L$ will become stronger.. w00t w00t.

There is more reasons for this than Philip's announcement. Last night there was somebody rapidly unloading almost 2 mio L$ at GOM. Also IGE lowered buying price for L$ to 3.90 which caused some movement.

Having said this, I increased my L$ buying price to 3.95 US$ per 1000 L$. This is currently above both what you get at IGE and GOM. You want sell just go here, send order, pay your millions to my avatar and you get PayPal within 24 hours (usually much faster) :-)

Ohh snap, do I see an Anshe Chung Trading floor to give GOM and IGE some more competition? More chance to arbitrage the currency. :)'

Mmmm, no. My service is not same as GOM and IGE but augments it. In fact I do a lot of business with both of those providers.

wow, and anyone who can read a chart can see it fluctuate that much every day, and that it was down the night before.

Go crawl back under your troll-rock, Alby.

You forgot to mention that it's STILL lower than 2 days ago. Yesterday it took a dip, and today it recovered. You completely misrepresented the facts. It's clear you did this specifically toward your own economic goals.

And I imagine your version of getting "medieval" on me would be laughable.

Alby, the linden might be up fractionally because I bought 5k last night to buy land in Boardman. And I really didn't care how much it was going for, I just looked down the list for 5k and bought it.

Did you also notice the change in the Buy/Sell orders? More Buyers are onboard, narrowing the gap.
