yes. An auction where a vicious bidding war just ended in someone paying 151 US Dollars for 240m of land.............. Cripes! That's about £100 isn't it? And to think, I've got 512m plots for sale for a fraction of that cost! ![]() |

view the massive buyers remorse here: /130/f2/33505/1.html
sounds like they both wanted the land protected and thought the other wanted to build a penis tower on it. LL what's your refund policy? ![]() |

I don't think they should be refunded their money.
They chose to bring the bidding up that high. |

sounds like a terrible deal, but then if you compare that price to the cost of the rest of someone's land in a sim that could be rendered unlivable when someone else buys that chunk and rezzes a physics enabled twisted torii chain on it for a few months...
its sad but true honestly sometimes you have to bite the bullet of 'fairness' and jus pay what you need to pay to protect your land/build.. at least it went to the lindens directly instead of to some jerkoff who would extort them for a profit _____________________

One good thing about this prime little lake wilderness parcel of 240 sq m -- you never have to pay tier on it! You can grant it that! Geez, even people in RL Winnipeg will be jealous! Is someone under the impression that you don't have to pay tier for this land? _____________________

Since Dyerbrook is Prokovy... and he can afford to bid $US 150 on that parcel (which I can't) ... does that make him one of the elitist land barons grinding the poor beneath his boots now?

One good thing about this prime little lake wilderness parcel of 240 sq m -- you never have to pay tier on it! You can grant it that! Geez, even people in RL Winnipeg will be jealous! Is someone under the impression that you don't have to pay tier for this land? Blaze, with a Premium Account, you get 512 free. So no, you do not have to pay tier on 240, because it's under 512 and therefore free. If you are going to get convoluted and say that it's not free because you pay $9.99 to access it in the game, well, $9.99 is entrance to the game each month, but in addition to that, you get 512 free. Surreal, I can't afford $150 for a little 240 sq m plot of land. Read the story. It was a Zen moment when I thought I might sell my other land and go live on that little expensive piece. Just because someone buys land in this game doesn't mean they are a land baron. And being a land baron isn't anything evil anyway. Get over it. Your game got commercialized on you while you were still sitting in your wiki garden sipping free tea. _____________________

$9.99 is entrance to the game each month There are probably about 16,000 players that would disagree with that statement. _____________________
