I'd like to take this moment to recall to everyone on the forum that I was warning GOM was in tanking mode months ago.

You were right, Jamie. But several of us could play that game. I could post as many links to my own posts, including desperate pleas for urgent action, and strong recommendations on what that action should be.

"Told you so" is very nice, but it doesn't help much. We need action now.

Either they are paralysed and too uncertain (read "chicken" ?) to act.
Or they are waiting for the clever help to arrive (VP finance and economic consultant).
Or it is cold and deliberate, and designed to break our very richest residents.
Or maybe it is genuinely best, for reasons we cannot see.

Who knows which. Any guesses ?

is only a consolation prize since you can't sell Lindens short.
