From: Aria Madison Hahahahaha! Aren't we all? I love this long long long post. I also love that, other than the first reply, no one really answered my original question. What I was looking for was someone who is selling at less than L$250/US$1.00 to just give me their rationale for selling at that lower rate. I was merely curious as to the motive. I suspect it is impatience. I agree that impatience is one of the reasons, but an even more prevalent reason is fear. People are fearful that the L$ may trend downward and panic sell in order to receive the better exchange rate. If you recall, when the L$ was trending upward, it stabilized for a time, and there wasn't as much downward selling pressure. As soon as the slightest indication surfaced of a downward trend, the sellers rushed out of the woodwork fearful that the rate may continue a downward trend. The fact that the exchange rate was at 3.20USD/1000L not long ago does not help as it instills the fear in some investors that the rate may bounce back to that range. So that confidence in the L$, or lack thereof, has everything to do with it.

When I sell L$ it's usually small amounts, maybe L$5000 or so. If the very best deal to buyers at the moment is L$265/US$1, then it makes sense to beat that price by L$1.
The difference to my final price is less than US$0.20. That is a very small price to pay to be first in line to sell.
I believe that is why the pressure is downward.

From: Cristiano Midnight Additionally, on top of it violating the WoW TOS, there are a lot of complexities involved in doing trades between a non-sharded world like SL and one that is not only sharded, but also has two completely separate factions on each server. It is not just an SL->WoW trade, but an SL-->a particular WoW server, either horde or alliance character only. Yeah, but moving WoW gold between horde and alliance is a trivial endeavor... extremely overpriced goods and the Gadgetzan AH are the key. Cheers, Lawrence

From: Lawrence Linden Yeah, but moving WoW gold between horde and alliance is a trivial endeavor... extremely overpriced goods and the Gadgetzan AH are the key. Not completely trivial, as you need at least two accounts. Alts on the same WoW account cannot bid on each other's auctions. (Oh, we're moving rapidly into off-topic, aren't we... so...) Yes, impatience is a big factor as people have tier fees coming up on fixed dates, and RL bills to pay.

From: Aria Madison Why are people selling their L$ for such a low price??? If we post it around L$250 / US$1.00 people will still buy it, and we will be making about $4.00US per every L$1,000 which is awesome! Why are people selling their money at L$271 / US$1.00?!?!?! Trust me, people will still buy it if we sell at a better rate. You think 2.71 is crazy? someone sold for $2.85 lol

If we all really focused and NO ONE deviated from the cause, I bet we could end world hunger, make a light bulb light by itself, levitate objects, create faster than light travel . . .

From: Dnate Mars Better deals? Less fees? Sell it now, instead of wait for it to sell? These are all reasons I would use a 3rd party option. Legitimate rationale, but VERY marginal benefit for such a huge risk. Buster
