From: Fade Languish Wayfinder, the other thing I was thinking, market sell should not be presented as an option on the basic setting at all, at least not exclusively. It should either have both options, or put them both on the advanced setting. The 'basic' user, would mostly be looking for limit sell, and a 'basic' user, should not be presented with an option such as market sell without clear information about what it means, and without all the information clearly available to them about what sort of price they would get via this as opposed to limit sell. The default should be limit sell, anything else is just setting someone up for a fall, IMO. I agree 100%. In truth... what I personally feel is that there is no real need to divide BASIC and ADVANCED pages. Put the LIMIT SELL as the first option, have a nice big heading below that which says ADVANCED OPTIONS, and go from there. That way everyone is advised as to all options. I don't really see anything on the Advanced page that would wig out most adults. If it does, they can always work above that section. Another option of course, would be to put a LIMIT SELL page as the primary selling system, and have a totally separate MARKET SELL page, with full documentation and disclaimers. Completely separate the two areas, since in reality they are different markets. But as you said, if they are going to divide the pages, Limit Sell should be the BASIC option and Market Sell on the advanced page. I think I really understand though why they did the Market Sell thing they way they did: they wanted to pull sellers out of the Limit Sell market. That makes sense, of course. But... it doesn't remove L$ from the economy... it just transfers them to the "Day Traders" area. Now if it removes significant L$ from the Limit Sell market, that might actually be a good thing. But the way it was implemented was not a good thing. (There's nothing wrong with day trading... so long as people know in advance that's what they're doing). OK, that went around in a circle, but yeah, I agree.

Like suggested in another thread .... How about stating in red letters to someone trying to sell 50,000L$ with the estimated proceeds: US$137.08 This is the amount you can expect by placing an unlimited sell order. If you take the time to limit the order you can expect an amount of US$144.89 If he still does the deal after seeing this fact clearly stated, I would say "fair deal".

I just sent the following suggestion to Linden Lab: NOTE: This method is for the purpose of making an immediate sale. The seller will likely receive a lower payment than using the Limit Sell option. Please examine the presented L$/US$ ratio before agreeing to sell.
At current Market Sell, your L$ will sell for approximately L$XXX per US$1.
