Anyone raised prices to compensate for the loss in $L value yet?

I don't know, but I spent the most I've ever spent on clothes yesterday, and that was just an outfit and some shoes. Okay, there was a hat with the outfit.

They're terrific though. I even redesigned the newest gun I've been building so that it would suit them.

Sorry, was this supposed to be a shopping thread?

Lex Neva raised some of hers, and I'm planning to bump mine up a tad in the near future. just too lazy to do so.

Actually, I have started to LOWER mine. But please, continue to raise your prices! The more everyone else's stuff costs, the more people buy my stuff. :)

No one's raised prices in my department store as yet, which represents a fair few sellers.
That's easy for me to track as my sellers vendors pay me a percentage, rather than them paying me rent.
I've also noted a very real increase in sales since Friday - prior to this sales have been dismal for 6-8 weeks, suddnly on Friday they didn't so much pick up as skyrocket, which is nice.
OK, the L$ aren't going to go as far, but if this continues, I'll be making more from ONE than ever before, so it balances out for me.
I don't actually think anyone needs to raise prices, after all, if the volume increases...

I'm raising my prices since 2 months... and people are still happily buying at my shops. I sometimes have to spent half an hour to explain a newbie how to adjust the glasses. So they mostly pay for the service i provide to them.

Yes. I'm keeping mine low as well.

My price increase is based on many hours of reworking textures and adding features to the scripts including the new flexible settings, optional fireflies and dialog-based tinting. It has NOTHING to do with the crashing market.

Factoring in the last few months of linden devaluation, Fate Gardens' plants now cost sixty cents US up from thirty-five.

Ditto. *shrug* I might think differently if I depended on sales for RL income though.

Regrettably I have raised my prices on my more elaborate builds - I has built those when the L$ was worth around $4.50/1000.

I have left the prices the same on all my basic DIY scripts and stuff however.

Yes, oddly enough, I have found I have sold more on various items when I raise prices.

People NEED to raise their prices! I hope people continue to raise their prices so we can get some real action in the economy.

Funny, the way stuff of general interest gets shoved into less well read forums these days?

You'd almost think the Mods (and their self appointed watchdogs) thought people didn't have enough inteligence to post in the 'correct' place - like an item of general concern/interest in a general discussion forum?

Hey they moved a -general- poll about the resmod into the resmods forums. Go figure that they'd move a thread about the economy into the economy forum..

On some things I have raised prices; on others not.

My elven avatars have always been scaled to sell to newbies; I doubt I would raise those prices, because newbies need those items for a quick way to be in role.

I've not really "raised" prices on other merchandise... but new items I am creating are being priced at current market rather than old.

What HAS raised is the price of rental land. Since land is directly related to RL$ cost... while my rent charges via PayPal have remained the same, the charge for L$ rental payments has risen considerably.

The interesting thing is... those who rent land understand it 100%. They know LindeX is all messed up. I have yet to hear one complaint about rising L$ land prices. Regarding this however, for them it's not a big deal... they're still paying the same US$ for the total L$ required. But for those who don't BUY L$ (ie, they earn them either through sales or activities)... it's raised their rent about 25-30% over the last couple of months.

As far as those who are not raising their prices... that's ok. If they want to sell their items across the board for 25% less than they were a year ago, that's their choice. With the increased population they may be selling more items anyway. (But then... so are those who are raising their prices). It's an interesting paradox of oddities. We'll see how it turns out.

I'll go along with you DolpPhun. Inever resell L's anyway. I use them for rent and buying what few things I can't make. Although it may appear so as the stuff I ahve been making recently is a lot more intricate, however it's still priced basically according to L value IN WORLD as I saw it before.
