As a person who works in the financial field for a living, I'm very excited about this idea/concept. In fact, I was entertaining the idea of doing it on my own. (Boy, I'm lucky to have heard of Shaun and MSE.) It accomplishes two things, 1.) Gets capital into the hands of the truely gifted that have the talent and drive to be successful. 2.) Gives the rest of us a chance to be part of that experience, vicariously and finanically to whatever means available. Over time as standards and precedence are created this idea/concept/market will only get stronger. Imagine a day when you are watching CNN Moneytalk and there are three ticker tapes across the bottom of the screen. DOW, Nasdeq, and MSE. Viva la Market! Ever truely yours, Archy Scott

Why such a large cash reserve and so little land?

I watch the Cyberland group and the exchange where it is listed, which also shows its report of financial positions at http://www.slsolutions.org/markets.php?id=1 . I own no Cyberland stock and less than L$10,000 cash. At the above link, Cyberland lists land holdings of 10,362 square meters. Correct me if I'm wrong, but that is about 20% of one sim. At about L$5 per meter, that's worth L$50,000. Cyberland also shows cash reserves of L$3,994,801. That's more than US$10,000 cash, and over 98% of its assets in cash. Those numbers (if memory serves) have been stable for at least a month. Maybe they are out of date and could be corrected. If so, it appears that Cyberland has found precious few places to invest the $10,000 + of investors' money it raised. It would be interesting to know where the money is held in the interim, and what plans Cyberland has to invest it in virtual land or other productive resources.
