Does IGE buy Lindens? I thought they only traded game money from game to game?

SLEx does not offer a currency exchange.

[Edited to read - apparently SLEx does offer a currency exchange.]

They are 30% owned by AncheChung.com.

Disclosure:

I would never trust SLEx. and would never do business with them because of my prior business dealings with SLEx, prior to and having nothing to do with AncheChung.com.

And yes, I use to be a 40% owner of SLEx.

And yes, Apo is dishonest!

It's not what you think - not a replacement for GOM. More like IGE and Anshe.

I will exchange L$ for a new currency - the 'shiney'... which is a 'coin' minted in the convenient shape of a .5 x .5 x .5 cube.

basically the exchange rate is 1k lindens for one 'shiney'.

Merwan this is the first time I have you seen come out and make a bold statement about that whole deal. Is the dark Merwan coming back? I hope so, he is so much cooler.

SLexchange.com (a division of AnsheCorp) is selling L$1000 for the low, low, introductory price of US$4.24 (plus applicable fees). Get em while they're hot! these prices may be subject to change.

To be fair you can also purchase up to L$5000 for US$19.97 (plus applicable fees). That works out to be less than US$4.00/L$1000!

SLExchange does not currently run a user to user exchange à la GOM. But they do note: "We buy Linden Dollars in blocks of L$10,000 to L$300,000. Please email Apotheus if you are interested."

Woohoo. $.006 less than $4/L$1,000! Although not after the ubiquitous "applicable fees". Still a great bargain.

What I don't like about SLExchange is when it comes to buying Lindens is that you can't actually see them until after 30 days has past. In the mean time you can spend them on SLExchange and the items will be credited, but you still can't transfer your well paid lindens to your avatar for a whole month wich doesn't do me good if I wanna buy something not found on SLE.
