Not trying to get into a flame war. I don't play those games.

I just don't like seeing words used incorrectly, as you are doing here.

This isn't a "foreign" concept. It's not something I don't understand. It's just something I strongly disagree with. That's not fear and it's not hate either. It's purely and simply a strong disagreement.
Xenophobia is not strong disagreement.

I'm sorry, but you are just not correct in describing this as xenophobia.
I understand what you're trying to say, but you're just off the mark, using that word.

I don't like flame wars either so I'm willing to agree to disagree on this and move on.

For me, I'm more against the suggestion that the agreement that I have with Linden Labs, that I pay Linden Labs for, which allows me to stop people from using the virtual area that I pay them for, should be changed, that I should be inconvenienced, that I should lose some of the abilities that I have in this entertainment, so that anyone at all can use my stuff (and when I say stuff, I mean the database god, I'm sick of defining that... )
I underatnd. You don't want it changed. I got that.

What I'm saying is that "I don't want it changed" is a weak argument. Things change all the time. Arguing against a proposal by saying that things don't currently work the way the proposer wants and thus it's a bad proposal... that's a circular argument.

There are good arguments against this proposal. The effect on shops, just for one example. There's lots of others I'm sure you could think of, and most of them can be put in a sentence with this kind of structure: "if this proposal was accepted, then the following bad thing (or things) would happen: ...", and the "bad things" aren't simply "this would change things".

What if the ban lines were just invisible? For me.... just not seeing them would make me happy! I mean, I understand people not wanting strangers onto thier land... just like RL would you want a complete stranger coming into your home and using your bed while your gone? I would think not! So, for me... I say just make the lines invisible.. they are an eye sore!
