Remove HUDs from Snapshots

Please add an option to permanently hide HUDs in snapshots regardless of their onscreen visibility, and make the option stay across sessions. I am tired of screwing up my own snapshots and seeing others with great snapshots that are marred by a HUD appearing on them. :mad:

HUDs should only appear when "show UI in snapshots" is selected.

Why has this not been fixed? It's a pain in the fucking arse removing all my HUDs for snapshots.

On a practical (or impractical) basis, some of you may have noticed some of my own snapshots sent to Snapzilla were inadvertently marred with HUDs too. I found it difficult to remember to keep turning "Show HUD Attachments" off from the VIEW menu. :(

I am forwarding this thread for community-to-development awareness too. And if you care about this, please do post.

My proposal would be either treat HUDs as part of the UI, or make "Show HUD in next snapshot" work analogously to "Show UI in next snapshot".

But, whatever, I ENDORSE THIS PRODUCT AND/OR SERVICE.

I dont see why they did this in the first place, please please take the hud out of the snapshot! I take lots of pics for my clothes and just in regluar snapshots who really wants to see the hud, its just plain ugly!

Yes I agree a switchable option would appease both sides of the fence - but if you remove them altogether from snapshots and give us no option to have them in - I for one will be calling all of my customers to arms to demand they are put back.

As for ugly - I actually make a product that enhances your snapshots via HUD as it adds a picture frame to your snapshot so you dont need to edit out of SL.

So before jumping the gun and removing them for good could LL please consider there are two sides and put in a switchable option for any solution they come up with.

We don't want them removed for good, we want an OPTION to hide it.
As for "Show HUD Atachments" in the view menu, It needs a hotkey!

Yes, I agree with you. And plz don't use "'" key for the short cut key like the snapshot. I can't hit it without SHIFT key on my Japanese key board and it is not available. :(

Please, dear god yes. I've basically given up trying to remember to turn them off, and am reduced to sullenly glaring at SL and vaguely through it in LL's general direction whenever I take a screenshot. I just want to turn them all off, unless I specifically turn them back on.

Out, damned HUD!

I want vector llDirectionToLindenLabs(float lattitude, float longitude, float monitor_facing); so my character can aim a rude gesture in the right direction when I hit something like this. :)

Yes, which is why it should be a checkbox like "Inclue UI," (default on--although I don't mind either way).

My ao is attached as a hud and I have to click on hide attachement or remove in photoshop for every pic I take. If this was a permanent button to remove or at least removed as soon as you took a snapshot, I think all of us would give the Lindens a huge hug :)
