I've been looking forward to this function just as long as when using llTeleportAgent() to a location within the same sim is instantaneous.

I've been working on a tourguide for SL newbies to help get people oriented in SL. Currently it sends people landmarks for them to click "teleport". Simple enough... but I can't tell you how confusing this is for newbies...

If, instead it poped up a dialog box that said, allow "Tour Guide" to teleport me in the begining of the tour there would be significantly less hand holding and frustration... the sooner LL implements this the sooner more people can be oriented to SL.

Yes. I have been waiting a while now for llTeleportAgent() and it would work greatly into my objects. :D

Ok, camera updates, thats good, little white arrows in inventory, ok. Out of all things added to LSL, llTeleportAgent should be a PRIORITY.

I have many objects, that have been put on hold because llTeleportAgent hasnt been released.

COME ON!

I want it. I looked for it since the first time I tried scripting.

Please, give it to us. :)

A major project involving investing in significant outside resources has been on hold (and losing money) because LL made a promise that llTeleportAgent would soon be available.

So, I say: BS, LL. BS!

Seems silly that I should have to ask for llTeleportAgent, but for the record...

I want it!

I Need llTeleportAgent, think about group excursions through/over/under/inside the grid. Follow Torley(or someone else) around on a wacky trip to all her special places in SL. This should definitely improve the group/community experience in sl.

Cris, Great that you are going ahead with you snap hud thingy! :D

You know... if llMapDestination remains borked the way it is, I'm guessing that llTeleportAgent might be borked too if put in place, i.e. you wouldn't be able to really use it with landmarks, greatly removing some of it's usefullness. I sure hope they do it right (if they ever do it).

Stop saying llMapDestination is bonked, it works perfectly well, I just checked it in Game, it is your lsl code that is bonked. Of course it is going to show you the same region you are in if you give it that region.

But more on topic stuff:

I want Teleport agent yesterday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

From the Future... ;)

From: Travis Lambert January 22, 2007

I just wanted to give a word of thanks to Linden for finally implementing llTeleportAgent(). Since its implementation over 9 months ago, residents have been able to link previously non-adjacent parcels to one another using this awesome function. New residents simply have to pass through our "Portal" doorways to visit NCI or the Ivory Tower of Primitives - then pass thru a return portal to get right back to the Shelter. Everyone thinks its most amazing.

Kudos for all your hard work! :)

Explain how it's borked?

What's borked is the dataserver response from the landmark, because it gives you a region coordinate instead of a global coordinate.

See the other thread. I'm trying my best to explain it there. But in short, the reponse from the dataserver event used to be useful to llMapDestination, now it is not.

I agree. Anything that would make a TARDIS work (close to) properly would kick all kinds of ass.

So YES, I want llTeleportAgent(S,X,Y,Z)*
