My big fat suggestion.

This suggestion is big and fat because it assumes a couple of things.
So, assuming:

1: It is possible to sum all of the processing power of a sim up into a single number.

2: It is possible to determine how much processing power a single object/script/avatar/sound/texture/land-plot/etc. takes up.

I thought it would be really cool if we could have a live-update (or at least a "push a button to find out" update) on how much processing power our stuff takes up so we can see whether or not it is slowing down or breaking a sim.

I know that money itself is supposed to be the measure of this sort of thing (expensive stuff takes up more system resources) but let's face it, we can make really cheap sim killers, and it would be nice to know if it's really our fault or not :D

So.... any Linden think this is even remotely possible?

there was a discussion on something very similar to this idea. specifically it was about script taxing, but it follows the same point of view. i don't want to get back into it though. heres the link.
