Please: No edit info during snapshots

In 1.9, when I'm busy moving a prim around in edit mode, a prim at which I want my foto model to look, I get the edit location information bubble in the snapshot, as well as the object highlight, if it's included. This was never before included, and frankly, is a major PITA!!!

What has happened in the current version of the viewer software (1.8.4 to 1.9.x) is that the snapshot feature has become extremely annoying to use, for any of the purposes to which I have put it, happily, in the past.

Torley, you know this pain. However, I don't think you hire models to pose for clothes. This new bug/feature of including the edit info in a snapshot if the edit function is running, is an incredible PITA. I have to do 3 or four times as many things to take a snapshot for an advertisement as I had to do previously. And worse, if I forget any one thing, the shot may be ruined!

I have been forced to hire models to avoid fighting with the HUD (it's just too much to remember to hide it, then show it, then hide it, then show it, then hide it,... to use myself as a model). Now, I've discovered that I have to go in and out of edit, too. This is MADDENING!!!

Please fix snapshots: put them back to default as the snapshot function was before this stupid revamping.

Who, who, who thought these changes were a good idea and why, why, why?!!!

PS. I'm calming down from another frustrating photo session, wherein these deficiencies in the snapshot function that LL created have been a major PITA.

Did I mention that these deficiences in the snapshot function are a PITA?

It's also worthnoting that HUD attatchments also make it inot the snapshot. So if i want to take a photo, i have to detach my various sensors and such. No fun.

I'd like to see this little wrinkle diappear, or become an option in the snapshot menu.

I hate the way they half assed did the hud in snapshots, we even had a week long thread about it when it came out, everyone involved decided SHOW HUD ON NEXT SNAPSHOT just like the show UI in next snapshot

I guess user opinions and some form of symmetry in the ui gives way to whatever linden developer x can cram in wherever linden developer x feels is easiest

Altho I've not hired models, Gov, I have been one before--and know what an enduring process it can be.

I know that VIEW menu ---> [ ] SHOW HUD ATTACHMENTS isn't the solution a lot of Resis on here want. I myself would prefer [ ] HUD IN NEXT SNAPSHOT in the Snapshot Preview, if not the even more flexible approach Tiger Crossing previously described in this related thread:
Eliminate HUD from Snapshots, please!

The best I can do is forward these concerns on to development so we all have a better understanding, and that's exactly what I'll do. :)

It'll do. Thanks for pointing that out.

Gov--BTW, upon further checking, you mean the gray hovertips showing the name and the owner of an object are showing up? And by object highlight, you mean the orange, blue, or yellow glow when selecting a prim? That shouldn't be visible unless [ ] UI IN NEXT SNAPSHOT is checked in Snapshot Preview.

Can you please tell me how I can see them that way too? I can't see them otherwise.

Gotcha. Thanx--I inquired further, this is a known bug and should be fixed soon.

Osgeld got it right, Torley. I'm always asking my model to look at a prim that I control, but often, in the active business of taking pix, I don't bother to leave edit mode, and that's what I get, what Osgeld shows in his pic. We never had to do this before, and I cannot, for the second life of me, figure out why anyone would want this to happen, automatically.

Oh, a bug? And it's been bug reported?

*nods* to the first, and I don't know which Resis reported it, but Kona Linden found out about it too.

Edit info should not show up at all during snapshots!
