Mirroring, and offline simulator (or at least pre-purchase texture preview)

I would very much like to see a "mirror" option for object creation. If it's there, I missed it. Copy 'n flip is not the same as "mirror". This option would greatly speed up my efforts to build...well, anything, like left and right fenders for cars, etc. I get the job done with mathematical sizing and such, but this makes building the first half fun, the second half tedious. Shift drag copies the object...shift alt drag mirrors?

Also, it would be GREAT to have an offline simulator that you could test ideas in (if this exists I didn't see it again). The simulator could just be a small box with a blank avatar; no outside effects or anything, it could even have a primitive limit of two objects or something. Here I could test my alpha textures and so on. Failing that blue heaven, a preview mode for textures (so you can see if your channel manipulation is right before paying for the upload) would be very helpful. It's frustrating to upload a texture for 10 bucks, see it's not what you want, go out, tweak the texture again, and upload for another 10 bucks. As far as I can see complex textures are sort of a "get it right the first time or pay again" thing. I've done a few things that look right in Photoshop, but when actually applied in world, they're a little off.

And of course if any of this is possible or people have found in-game workarounds, I'd be very interested in that info :)

mirroring is definately a good idea, since it is such a pain to get it exactly right.

there is no stand alone client of any kind at the moment, but here is a link to a thread that talks about a french modeling program(there is an english translation or something along those lines as well) that several people have found helpful in creating textures for an av
