Dear Residents of SecondLife
The Costello Family is organizing a Benefit Party this weekend to aid those hit by Hurricane Katryn. And we need your help. We are asking you to participate in this event with any donations for either our raffle or donating your proceeds for the sales made for that weekend. We know we are asking alot but then again are giving alot in return. The Benefit will start at 6am game time Saturday September 3rd at Heaven Island and will continue on throught until on until 6am game time Monday September 4th. Any help you give us will be greatly appreciated. Again we need your help.

The Monies will be converted throught GOM and split in half in which one half will go to FEMA, an organization that helps with rebuilding, and also to The Salvation Army, and organization that helps with the clean up effort and gives those affected food and water.

It's great to see all this Benefit work by the community.
May I suggest, you coordinate with ReallyRick Metropolitan to use the donation system set up by Pathfinder Linden and FlipperPA to convert Lindens to $USD for the Red Cross. It's as simple as putting thier donation box on your land. You can find his post about it here. It was a really effective system for Relay for Life and having Pathfinder's involvement in it, makes people feel safer and thus donate more. Also, you can't actually donate to FEMA right? They are a government agency and don't take donations. They do have a list of suggested places to donate to here. I highly recommend that donations go to the Red Cross, a feeling validated by an NOLA emergency responder here. _____________________
