We don't allow that in beautiful Southern California! But I wouldn't mind hearing a good old fashioned thunderstorm once in a while.

Plus its funny to see how grumpy and mad people are when it rain :D

Edit: Gah Jon! I'm canadian - I get heat stroke if the tempurature is much over 80.

Feh. Come to Toronto, I'm pretty sure the sidewalk outside my apartment was mushy yesterday (from melting [because it is so hot]).

Hah I am in Toronto.

I hate this time of year. Seems like our seasons are: fall, winter, spring, summer and hell. It's not too bad - I live beside the go station so I go from home to the GO, through the PATH, to work - about 2 mins outside per day :p

Our high today will be 94... but Fri and Sat are supposed to be 107. Ouch!

I love when it rains, but the first rains of the rainy season scare me... I refuse to drive those days because the rain brings up all the oil and such the cars dripped on the roads all summer and it's like riding down those banana slides you put on your grass and turn the sprinklers on for!

All in all, however, I LOVE Northern California weather! (:

God, what are your sidewalks made of, ice cream?
In Portugal, our beautiful sidewalks are made of small black and white limestone cubes, masterfully interspersed in intricate decorative patterns.

No, but now I know what I'm going to lobby for at the next city council meeting!

In (most of?) North America, everything built by any government after 1950 has to be ugly and boring. This is so that the government can show that it is not Wasting The Public's Money.

It's only been bad storms for the last 5 days lol. Every day a severe thunderstorm warning and one tornado warning. I hate storms

I hate rain
07-09-2003 02:08
I know we need it and all that but I personally hate it. I get in a super bad mood when it rains no matter where I'am. I love the sun and the heat, hate the winters, but snow is kinda neat to get once in a while.Be nice if it could somehow just snow instead of rained, that way nighttime would be kinda bright and it wouldn;t be so noisy.

do not absolutely do not complain about dry heat....

Maine is usually cold, or rainy or all around crappy weather....

WE do get 1 month of decent weather though... but guess what its hot and humid... I would give anything to have dry heat.

Humidity is what I hate about heat, its what makes you sweat buckets, its what makes you miserable, its what makes it horrible to go outside.....

Give me dry heat or give me death!

Yeah, Skipster... same concept... hehe driving during the first few rains whenever they decide to start SUCKS!

I LOVE the dry heat! No complaining here... I can't stand a lot of humidity! At least it isn't as dry here as it is in Arizona... hehe

Unlike you pale sun avoiders, I have a nice tan glow on my skin from dragging Ama out to the river trails... wait... no, that's a sunburn...

Wow remind me to never go to Tucson - sounds like I'd die pretty quick. You're talking about temps over 100 like its normal! Today here the high is 85 and I'm not looking forward to it :p

Winter is better - I like when its just below freezing and shovelling the snow on my driveway with just a tshirt on cause all the work makes me sweat.

It' s all in the humidity (or lack thereof) Max. I guess I should keep quiet! It is 66º here within shouting distance of the beautiful Pacific Ocean, going to hit 72º today they say. Storm alerts are flashed across all the major networks whenever we MIGHT get 1/4" of rain. Then the Southern Californians skid their cars all over the plac. HeHe

Now that is lovely Eggy, can you put that as walkway around the disco?

Just to add to the thread, it is beautiful here in No. Ca, sunny, warm, not humid, not too hot, beautiful, sunny, did I say that yet? I confess tho, I miss the east coast seasons, but here it is sunny, warm, not humid, not too hot....

I miss dry heat. Grew up in the South, with 100+ temperatures being common.

But now I live up in the Great Pacific Northwet. *snf* Where it's grey and rainy and people melt if the temperatures go above, say, 75. Psht. Public locations actually advertise 'Air Conditioning', a fact which never stops making me boggle.

Where I come from, AC is a necessity for survival, not an advertisable luxury. O_o
