Why am I posting this here? I missed it, and others may have too (Could we get some in-world GUI or something to make these stand out more?).

Also this has been a topic discussed many times in the past. I.e. the moving of Jessie and Rausch to an island off of the main-grid (note the Linden proposal does not mention Jessie). Often the topic goes ignored by LL and everyone gives up. So *please* give your input on the Feature Feedback as LL is opening up to this idea finaly.

I agree with the weight of your feasible suggestions, Oz.

As each one gets fixed, we get closer and closer to giving the current "baggage" its proper place in the world. There is a dichotomy in the history of SL... having shown guns in a good amount of marketing material, yet not recognizing this in tandem inworld.

My longterm, very farfetched dream is a fuller combat implementation and even a dedicated continent (could be the 3rd Linden one or include Resident-run ones, who knows, I'm all open) that goes hand-in-hand with HUDs, higher FPS, Havok 2, new rendering engine, etc.

In a way it is a justification as the "great unifier" for many future features in SL, not only as a raw speed test, but a window into greater lucidity when it comes to performance fluidity.

The marketing angle is this:

In other worlds, you can shoot guns.
In SL, you can make your own.

How's about:
In other worlds, you can shoot guns.
In SL, you can make your own, but you can't shoot them without people looking down on you as a gun nut and if you shoot them at people you will be sent to the upcoming prison sim which is not nearly as much fun as it sounds, trust me. Also, we are obsessed with hippoes for some reason.

Hahaha... hey where have the hippos gone tho? Haven't heard them mentioned much recently?

My projection is for the distant future, so obsolete presents need not apply. :)

Are you kidding? It's gotten so bad I can't even hit control-alt-shift-H without hearing about hippoes. :(

Slightly on-topic: Moving Rausch off-continent and perhaps adding other damage-enabled sims to it to form a combatinent is a very good idea. It simply makes no sense to have a warzone in the middle of a neighborhood.

Use that keyboard combination and you will find that the hippoes you sought were inside you all along.
