mostly because.

but if you must...

because there's more to sl than the whining in the forums. there's alot of talk about what's wrong with sl in the forums, but there are many things that are right, and they don't get as much air time because they generate much less forum drama.

because i think letting people know they can personally do something to contribute to sl is better than the recent forum drama. and it lets people know that there are people out there who do more than talk about sl.

because i wanted to.

What did you try volunteering for Lo? I know a few months ago is when the transition of the liasions was being done (to get ready for the teen grid). That's when Char Linden left has the "head" of the Mentor group. I'm sure there was other shuffling as well. Have you tried re-applying? It could just be that your application "got lost in the shuffle". Just a thought...

I applied to the Live Help, but haven't heard back yet either. I've thought about being a Mnetor too, but I'm not sure of the difference. I always thought of Mentors as the ones doing classes in this or that and I don't know how well I'd do in a class. Tech stuff? Scripting and advanced building? Forget it! I'm hopeless.

But I can teach anyone how not to put a cabin on their head.

I was accepted into the Greeter program a couple weeks ago. We have not started yet due to technical difficulties, but hopefully within the next couple days or early next week!! Yay!
