Was thinking this morning that if we can get into SL it would be helpful to be at the welcome area and assure people these login difficulties will iron themselves out.
And, with so much talk about Mentors, I wanted to add my voice that Mentors have in the past, and will continue in the future, help make SL a better place! _____________________

Excellent suggestion, Merwan! According to http://sl.sdfjkl.org/userdata/birthdate.spy, last Saturday the number of new residents was just one third of the "usual" values for a weekend, and Sunday promises to be even worse. So we really should take our time to "explain" to newcomers (and probably some oldtimers as well, if we look at the forums...) that this isn't the "normal SL" as we know and love, but an SL with a temporary failure of the login server, which should be fixed next Tuesday, and, unlike other companies with similar platforms, LL is really working overtime, on two different continents, over the weekend, to get rid of these login bugs - so, it is certainly worth the effort to wait one day or two
