I dunno about in SL, but I've noticed since I put the FIC badge on my car (cost me a good $500 US, thank you) the oddest things happening. For example, when I went to Jiffy Lube, they were ringing up my total and I was about to pay when my car rolled past, its oil change complete. The guy took one look at my FIC badge and slammed the register drawer closed, apologizing almost in tears.
And then, on the trip down to Ft Lauderdale this week, driving along I-95, I came onto an enormous clump of traffic. As I'm waiting, two highway patrol cops come up and start holding cars in place with hand signals. One of the cops starts waving to me, indicating that I should move my car through the canal they have carved into the traffic. The canal is a few cars long, and leads me to the shoulder of the highway. I'm thinking they want to arrest me or some shit, but they lead me along the shoulder to an overpass, where a section of the wall has slid out of place, just large enough for a large SUV. In my Buick, I fit easily. Ushered into the space by the cops, I find myself in a dark ramp, similar to that of a parking garage. Following the ramp, I find myself delivered into a tunnel, through which passes a very, very long highway. The speed limit was 85.  Also, I now have the cell numbers of every Linden on the payroll, all of whom are almost fearfully eager to speak with me. I don't know if this is all worth the... donations that have been... politely requested. I mean, they say you don't really need ALL of your kidneys. But is that, like, accurate? _____________________
Furthermore, as Second Life goes to the Metaverse, and this becomes an open platform, Linden Lab risks lawsuit in court and [attachment culling] will, I repeat WILL be reverse in court. Second Life Forums: Who needs Reason when you can use bold tags? |
