We have to have a Jon Stark/Targaryen in here somewhere...lol
There is an island up for sale today, but didn't notice it's cost. I'm new to building. We might need professionals for castles and stuff. I CLAIM THE NORTH IN THE NAME OF THE KINGS OF THE NORTH!!

Don't tempt me! Don't tempt me!! And yes... you could have the North as long as you swear fealty to me as your rightful King Rhaegys Targaryen the First of his Name.

Queen of the North!

I don't know about that Rhaegys...are you going to be one of the mad Targs or one of the sweet ones? Read in the Town Hall Meeting notes from yesterday that they're hoping to develop a jousting game. This could be a good thing for us. I want a horse! (and a direwolf!) I'm keeping my fingers crossed that more Martin fans are going to join SL. Going to recruit on my Yahoo Martin group, because all they do now is complain about Amazon's arbitrary release dates and compare notes on what other authors they've read. Ok, we should all go recruit (besides, you get $2000 Ls for every new referral you get if they use your referral code

Oh you know how the saying goes. "Madness and greatness are two faces of the same coin. When a new Targaryen is born the Gods toss the coin and the world holds its breath to see how it will land." Sweet ones? I hardly think any Targaryen could be considered as sweet But I have two models of Targaryens to follow: Aegon (Egg) and Rhaegar. About the Jousting I read that! I hope somebody takes the post and do it. If not... I will have to do it myself. LOL Well, if we are going to ask for stuff I want my dragons!

What an excellent idea. Normally, I would be all over this concept but unfortunately, I'm never in SL anymore. Just happened to be cruising through the forums and saw this thread and couldn't resist. I'm a huge Fire and Ice fan. Got some good news too. According to Amazon, the next book "A Feast for Crows" will be released on July 26. http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/0553801503/qid=1117219957/sr=8-4/ref=pd_csp_4/104-9074428-2899961?v=glance&s=books&n=507846 Good luck with your plans!

Hehe... Amazon has been announcing the release of the next book for almost one year (if not two). The only rediable date of release is from Martin's website which is: no clue at all for the moment. The last thing that Marint said was that he believed he was close to finish the book.. that was last mid-january. Not a word at all from him since them *pouts* http://www.georgerrmartin.com/nextbook.html

I was talking about Rhaegar specifically, when alluding to sweet, lol. He was a reader, musician, scholar...then boom, got an oracle and (allegedly) stole Lyanna, fought Rob Baratheon...u know the rest...well, I wish we really knew all the rest of that story. Come on George!! (hey, maybe we can recruit him to be on SL...no, wait, forget I said that!! It's too addictive!)

Slaps hand! Bad Sansa! How dare you suggest such a thing as getting George Martin addicted to Second Life! (but dang, maybe we'd find out what's gonna happen sooner that way) Shush! Stoppit! slaps hand again! BTW, we don't need professionals to build castles. You have an excellent castle Rhae. Just need moving/firebreathing dragons and a few Maesters and maybe some direwolves. Maybe a Lannister or two to make it all more interesting?

It's DONE!!!!
05-30-2005 03:53
Yes!! Martin says that the book is done!! Woohoo: http://www.georgerrmartin.comOr almost Because the book turned out to be so huge that he removed all the characters PoV from the North and East to put them on the next book. So... we'll have to wait for A Dance with Dragons to know what happened with Bran, Jon, Dany, Arya & Tyrion But we'll get to learn about Dorne! But the good point is that, as Martin says, A Dance with Dragon is half written so far.

Sansa: <does goofy dance with pet dragon and direwolf>
Guess I'll have to quit SL for a while and re-read 1, 2, and 3. TWO BOOKS RELEASED AT ONCE! Hooray! (hoping Sandor Clegane survived and Sansa got out of the Eyrie)

No... Only one book will be released soon. The 5th, A Dance with Dragon, is only half-written. Because it has all the chapters that should've gone in A Feast for Crows and refers to the North and East plotlines.
But will know about Sansa and maybe about The Hound. I bet you they will marry someday after Sansa kill Littlefinger (well... or send the Hound to do the dirty job) LOL

North & East plotlines
05-30-2005 12:00
Darn, all the characters I want to know about are in the east or north--Arya, Bran, Davos, Jon, Tyrion, Dany...oh well, at least Book 5 is half written. Could be by next summer we know what happens to all of them.
Nah, I think Clegane won't ever be able to marry Sansa. She'll end up a cold queen of the north or married to Littlefinger or sent off to someone in Dorne so some other ridiculous thing. I don't think George likes Sansa very much.
Wonder if Rickon comes into a Feast at all?

Mmm... no I don't think Sansa will become queen ever. Rickon will be the Lord of Winterfell and bastard much more like Joffrey was. But the good thing is that he will have Bran at his side who would be able to control his fury. I don't think Rickon will appear in A Feast. Probably in the next one, or even in the 6th. He still is a child.
For Sansa, I don't know what will happen with her. Though I do believe she will be with the Hound in the end. What I know is that she will learn a lot from Littlefinger.

Really nice fan art from ASOIF

This is a good reference for anyone wanting to style their avi on a specific character in the book. The artist is, I believe, M. Louisa Giliberti. AWESOME artist, btw. http://www.winterfell.altervista.org/img.htm
