I would have to say Philip Linden. :-P

If Lindens are excluded, I would think... Hrm. :-/ EZ Money's not a citizen any more... It's hard to say, there are several people who seem to be everywhere all the time.

I would have to say Eggy. I think just about everyone knows him.

I had considered that. But in reality, Darwin is extremely well-known in the forums, but not so well-known in-world. There are a lot of members that don't follow the forums.

Aside from the fact that you're right, you're wrong. I invented the sheild of invisibility, the free teleporter, and the bulletproof sheild.

NOTE: #2 is oboslete with the telehubs :D

Harry Balzac.

Wait, is that really a person?

Oh, sorry.

Um, I have no idea who the most famous person is.

I'd say Charlie Omega until recently, with his uber, sim buying powers. He's chosen to shroud himself in obscurity, as of late...

Fleabite? Most everyone seems to know her.

I think I would go with fleabite also, George Busch was the most famous when he was still with us, and his memory lingers on.

Who is the most 'famous' is a very interesting question. Mostly because I think it all depends on what part of the world you're 'from'. I personally have been here since April and never met George Busch, and everyone else in this thread I've only seen in passing and never really conversed with.
There's a lot of names I recognize, mostly from forums and the fact that I have their calling card, but who's the most famous is a harder thing to answer.

I'd say you, Miss Cat Omega, but that might just be because one of the first builds I saw when I got here was your name over your mansion :)
You and Lyra were also the first people I really talked with. I think it's all based on experiences.

Of the ppl who are currently in SL, going purely off of media coverage (forums, Hamlet's stories, website, in-world events, etc.), I would have to say either Fleabite Beach, Dave Zeeman, or Darwin Appleby.

Darwin, you forgot to mention that you are the one who started the hippo thing ;)

Everyone hold ctrl+shift+alt and then hit H a lot while in world and you will see. :)

I'd have to say Hikaru and James Miller, just because everyone knows them and they are in world a lot. Other citizens like you and Fleabite and dave Zeeman and Skee don't get around nearly as much, for all of your widespread influence.

Hmm... Welina Jade, Catherine Cotton, and Candie Apple all seem to be pretty well known. Aurelie Sunchaser also comes to mind.

You're just saying that because you're related. ;)

It's hard to say who's the most famous. Some people just hang out in their own area. While others only hang out in the welcome area. In terms of overall boards & SL, I'd say Bob for his posts & talk show. Darwin because that guy is just wacko. :D

Guess it depends on how long you've been around though..

I think Darwin is the most (in)famous. Although Derek Jones might rival Darwin, hard to say. Perhaps it's a twisted sort of love affair going on, I have seen them together on more than one occasion. Just the other day they were BOTH in Olive. Hrm that makes Kitty inquisitive.

Fleabite is the most noticable perhaps. I can spot flea from 3 sims away.

Crowcatcher is the most notable, at least if you're considering physics and laws of nature (or the lack thereof).

Don't forget the lindens: Hamlet, all white and purdy in his sissy pants, is quite active and noticable. Kitty is on high alert of him.

Bob BunderblubbbinIdunnolastname.. is a popular fellow, and quite well mannered.

Then there's Harald and Joan, a fine friendly couple (not unlike, perhaps (for rumors sake), Derek and Darwin).

And finally I do believe that I am the cutest pre-teen with green shorts, rotating t-shirts, stupid hats and a dead kitty in SL.

Thanks,
Boso

Famous maybe not, if the word notorious villain fits, probably Rathe Underthorn.

Largest idolic figures would probably be Catherine Omega and Skeedalee Skidoo.

The "Name you know but don't know who the hell it is" probably either goes to BBC, Devlin, or Cal Rogers
