Does my opinion force you to get personal? Am I entitled to an opinion, or are you in charge of who is afforded the right to an opinion?
You're entitled to your opinion, of course. And I'm entitled to think of you as a lower form of life for them

I've only just popped by for a second, crystal, so forgive me if I'm out of context. But you seem knowledgeable on this stuff. I'd really like your reaction to the link below, which seems to give a different point of view, which I find needs some thinking about. Here it is: http://www.fsf.org/licensing/essays/selling.html Read it. Yup. It's a different point of view. Well, it's the same point of view as offered by a small minority here. Thought about it. Sell other people's free stuff for your own gain, you're scum. _____________________

Thanks for the link Ellie.
I love the last line. It sums it all up nicely. The true meaning of free.... "Freedom is the issue, the whole issue, and the only issue." http://www.fsf.org/licensing/essays/selling.html |

"Freedom is the issue, the whole issue, and the only issue." http://www.fsf.org/licensing/essays/selling.html Whoop de do. I hold the people who wrote and endorse that article with the same contempt as people who sell freebies in Second Life. It's just another opinion, after all. And again, it goes against the ethic and moral majority. _____________________

Jeska cleared up the questions for me concerning LL's stand on the issue of selling freebies.

Jeska cleared up the questions for me concerning LL's stand on the issue of selling freebies. /invalid_link.html "Currently, the only restrictions on selling goods within SL are those contained within the permissions of the objects themselves." And that is a good thing (in my opinion) that the Lindens take a more "hands off approach". The only thing I think they should be working on is making the permissions system better (which I know is on the list). But I'm fine with letting us residents get the word out about business practices that we think are wrong. Let us boycott and not support those businesses in our own way! ![]() _____________________

All publicity is good. Remember to tell them I have 3 cool classes that are avaliable 24/7 on the land where I offer tons of quality freebies for $1L per box load. My favorite class is the one where the newbie gets to change into 9 different AVIES instantly without wearing parts one at a time. Altho, I must say, the basic clothing class is awesome too. The building class is fun, but it's only for a very new user. GOM is here too. ( Gar 210, 145)
