From: Robin Linden If you could blog from within Second Life, would you want to be part of a larger community effort to chronicle the history of the world? Would you prefer to tell your own personal history? Would you want group blogs or individual or both? To me blogging is better suited to individual voices than collaborative projects. Perhaps the collective documentation of the history of SL is better served with a wiki?

Well said, Pol.

Developers can then measure which new concepts most improve the products and incorporate them into the game in future patches."

I'm all for increasing the social-software space within SL. In contrast to things like Friendster/Orkut it's the perfect place for it, as we are all bound by a common thread: Second Life. A 'pure' social network is amusing for a while, then falls off in both interest in usefulness. Contrast with something like Flickr; a common tie of photography, del.icio.us; less social, more organizational, common tie of bookmarks, or even LiveJournal; generally close knit friend circles. There are elements of all these which I think would enhance SL.
Oh, and I'd partner with Six Apart, yes. :D
