this must be de agony of de feted.

At any rate, we could just hold a big party (a fete) and everyone who shows up will be technically, feted.

Though I suppose to be connotatively valid, they would all have to be guests of Honor.

Very well then. Show up on my 1024 in Eldora, some time on Monday between 6 and 10 PM SL time, and you can consider yourself feted.

Though to be part of an inner core would require a larger context that I just don't have the time or energy to supply right now.

What if you live in Feted? What are you suppose to do then?

The most successful software company in the world does a piss-poor job on all these points. Particularly the first three. Why do you expect Linden Labs to do any better?

We're Negro's again? Did I miss a memo? :(
Not you, probably me. I'm from Alabama, and we're about twenty years behind polite.

I'm moving this to Off-Topic.
Why?

But won't that be confusing? If I wanted to give someone the coordinates for my next class or meeting, they would never get there.

Heh. With how often you move, I could probably just pick a random direction and start flying. By the time I started to wonder if I was going in the right direction, I'd already be there.

I propose that FIC henceforth stand for "Former Incendiary Crackpot", in tribute to an exiled collegue.

D'ya know, when I stare at Flip's post for a while, Oprah's face emerges from the text as a 3D image. Does that mean that Prok, Al and Oprah are all oh never mind never mind I can't even stand the thought of saying it.

These are very sad times to be an American but where is the rage among the citizenry? Where are the flag wavers who so laud the freedoms symbolized by a flag and written by quill pens in our constitution? Why are we not rallying in the streets against this sort of attrocity? Why because we are gluttonous lazy bastards who say it won't happen to me so who cares. --Ishtar Pasteur

I too object to the excessive use of the word feted. It is not a funny enough word to support it's constant repetition. Those who wish to refer to a privileged elite can use the phrases "privileged elite", "pampered old-timers", "favored Linden friends", anything than doesn't use "f" word. The word "inner", although sullied by it's use in the FIC sense, can still be used without being offensive if it is immediately followed by "tube" or "diameter". Substitutes for "core" can be found; for example, the phrase "apple core" can be replaced with "the apple's central cylindricoid region".

Pampered Innertube Center???? Doesn't have the same ring to it. :o
