A chance for you to be in our E3 demo

Do you want to help for our E3 demos this Wed-Fri? Linden Lab will be at E3 showing off what our Beta Testers have created. During these demos, we're interested in dropping in on residents or groups of residents who are engaged in activities which exemplify the Second Life community.

Here are the times we'll be demoing during SL open hrs:

Wed, 5/14: 12pm - 6pm
Thur, 5/15: 12pm - 6pm
Fri, 5/16: 12pm - 4pm
(all times PST)

So post below if you're interested in participating. Just let me know what day, what time, where you'll be and what you'll be doing (e.g. working on your house, chatting with friends, making a costume for an event, etc).

For example:
"Jane Avatar, Wed 5/14, 2pm, Morris (200,10), building a new slot machine for the arcade"

The demo schedule will be pretty fluid so we won't be able to drop in on everyone, but we definitely appreciate the chance to visit with Lifers because, heck, that's what we're trying to show off - the stuff you guys are doing.

This will be done live on the server right? So could we find out where the visitors are and drop in?

we have alot of people working on some great new items all the time. theres alot to see and do in my castle as well as stuff for sale. anytimes fine with me ill be on all day everyday this week lemme know if you want to come so i can tell people not to act vulgar since its a mature area

i know the noise tanks are up for it

I'll be tinkering with my figher this week, texturing, scripting and maybe a little modeling. I'll be on 2:00-4:00 Thursday and 1:30-4:00 on friday. My place is in freelon approx. 70,70.

I'll be having my caption contest on friday 1PM PST at stage4.

Wed 5/14, 12 - 3pm, Clementina (200,0),
I'll be creeping stealthily through my house wearing a hockey mask and wielding a large blood covered axe, leaping out and emitting a blood curdling scream each time someone comes by

Thu 5/15, 12 - 3pm, Clementina (200,0),
I'll be dressed in a white organza Scarlett O'Hara gown and striking a dramatic pose while standing on my deck and gazing wistfully out over the ocean, using a scripted smoking gesture to make it appear that I'm wiping a tear from the corner of my eye

Fri 5/16, 12 - 3pm, Clementina (200,0),
I'll be stretched out on a lounge chair, sunbathing nude on the roof of my house while reading Snow Crash and sipping a tropical drink with a colorful paper umbrella in it


Okay so I was trying to come up with something interesting and impressive. I'll actually just be making furniture and other household decor for my store all 3 days...

Ooooo.. count me in. I'll post a little later what times I just need to find out from work when I'm free. As for where, my tree in Shipley of course....

I guess I could do something for it, I could show off my lab to them...its pretty cool actually, really nice stuff, I think they'll like it.

I think you should show off all of Kissling because it is something the residents of Kissling have been working very hard on.

I would be willing to give a tour of Kissling if they would be interested, along with some of the other people working on Kissling.

However, the other communities should also be looked at as well, since those involved in those projects are working just as hard as those who are working in Kissling.

That is very true but I mention Kissling because I am volunteering it. There are plenty of great communities out there.

Then they can see my matrix video with sync'd sound, and maybe I'll even put up a new one for this specific event (if I find out I'm one of the visited places =)

I'm sure E3's already got a busy schedule, but I bet those finger-twitching fans there would appreciate seeing some firepower!

Stop by my bunker in Stanford (160, 21 to see my weapons. I have 6 varieties of rifle, 3 automatic rifles, one shotgun, and eight pistols of varying type. Not to mention the occasional cannon.

I would also be interested in particpating. I'm willing to be doing anything, Creating Costumes, Building, demonstrating building process, demonstrating physics engine tricks...

I'd love to have you guys pop by my place on Wednesday. I'll be online for the whole day so..

Wed, 12PM to 6PM at Shipley, 104 51, and I'll be working on my tree house thingie.

Well.... I won't be in world only because I will be in the middle of traveling to Saudi Arabia (and yes I just saw the news about the bombs!).

BUT, anyway my marina is a good place to visit even if I'm not there working on things!

So check out the cool yachts and other boats in Freelon across the bay from the Boardwalk.
