From: Eboni Khan I don't see the need to donate through a 3rd party and there is no one in SL that I trust like that. I donate to charities directly so I can at least get a tax break, even if I am never really sure that my money reaches the needy. That's the way I prefer to do it as well. Donating Lindens is a good option for those who really want to help, but don't have the real $ to spare though.

I have the same concern so I didn't donate anything to all of the requesters but instead donated to one person from Biloxi who I know for a fact was wiped out by that hurricane.
