Something very pie in the sky, can't imagine ME doing it, an avie that was fluidly able to morph like the Terminator 2 and 3 baddies.

I'd love (and it's up for vote, yes I know) cave landscaping tools.

actually, it'd be what I started before I sold the sim. My underwater project.

BTW, Wills, I used to have a HUUUUGE secret underground cave in Immaculate way back when. I can prolly help you with that if you're serious :)

Well, you can build a very effective underground cave in SL already. IF, that is, your sim has no terraform limits and you have a reasonable sized plot. I agree that the ability to tunnel would be cool, but I don't think it's gonna happen any time soon, to be honest. In the meantime, though, it's still more than possible to do!

A towering Bladerunner type city. The picture I have in my mind would be impossible to create currently. Prim limits and more importantly, draw distance being limiting factors. The day it is possible, I really want to do this.

A huge sim-wide exotic style city, with architectural effects from Indian, Mayan, Moroccan and Middle Eastern architecture. A huge palace complex, temples, and buildings as well as intimate courtyards and gardens. Beautiful waterfalls integrated into the architecture, and other natural elements.

I haven't even thought that far. I'm happy making my houses. But I doubt I ever would think that far. For the big and impressive things, I much prefer being an amazed spectator and participant. Touchstone Fair, for instance, or (and I cry to see these go) Backstage and Spitooney.

Whoever made Phobos Trailer Park, I hope they never let it go for any reason. Not only do I enjoy going there on occasion, just for the refreshingness of it, but it's a good place to take new players, and it's also great for meeting like-minded lunatics like oneself.

If I had the ability (which I don't) I would want to build an entire sim like the city of San Francisco. Complete with all the skyscrapers (Transamerica Pyramid especially) and steep hills and working cable cars that would go up and down them. There would be a Golden Gate Bridge and the beautiful City Hall building.

The best part would be if there could be little earthquakes that shake the entire sim and make some of the buildings fall down and then with a click of the button everything would go back to normal.

Why, I would build the lovely city of Neualtenburg, of course, which made Pathfinder's weekly picks twice this week. Come to see the detailed city layout, the Retro Casino, and the Secret Underground Tinies City. :)

dreams of grandeur

i've been dreaming of winning the lottery to fund what i've been dreaming of ever since private islands were first announced.

part one was to start a new (privately owned) continent, but this is already being done.. of course, that wouldn't stop me from doing the same were i to come into that kind of money one way or another.

but what i would do with it has been a dream of mine for even longer. i would simply create what i would do in RL.. again, if i won a HUGE jackpot in a lottery.. or if i gained large amounts of money through product patents, etc.. (which i've yet to do as well.. hehe)

anyhoo, in RL i would buy an island (which would be then claimed as a country) of decent size where i would proceed to build an entire structure that's kind of like a city-mall.. but less mall and more a breeding ground for artistry and more. a playground for the creative and thought-provoking where violence is shunned, weapons are outlawed and overall peacefull co-existance would be the name of the game.

i would open a slew of businesses, all of which i've dreamt of owning/operating at some point in my life. galleries, studios, radio station, tv station, glass blowing facilities, video game company, small movie studio, residential areas both with the main building and in the outlaying areas.. etc..

the point is, i'd use SL to craft this RL dream of mine. if i came in to enough money to make the RL version come true, i could just point the land developers to SL and say, "make that".

of course, i'd keep the SL version running and create some sort of symbiotic relationship between the two of them. visit one, the other or both.. watch streaming video of the RL location in the SL location.

unlimited possibilities exist with this model and i can only hope that one day i'll have the funds to do it all. (maybe i should go patent my perpetual-motion machine?)

And you could sell "Stitch" avatars for avs to go rampaging through the sim. THAT would rock!

An island of nations bringing together members of the various world communities represented in SL to display and educate about their cultural heritage on a rotational basis.

Btw, Cat, how's that fifties McCarthyism idea coming along?

If onlyyyyyy.......

being a perfectionist, its very very very difficult to deal with the prim limits.
But if there were no such thing as limits..

By golly, I'd be on a building frenzie.
