Breifly scanning a half dozen of the articcles on this site, I would agree.

It seems more like a sensationalism website that dresses up internet rumors as actual news stories.

That is a particularly scary article, and I hope and pray it is a scare story. The slaughter of millions of innocent people is horrific and unjustifiable. I can only hope and pray this is not the case, because it will destabilise the world if it were to happen.

And I hope those weirdos stop and think about the fact if they detonate a nuke on the USA, nothing will ever be the same again, they might damage society forever. And we STILL won't all convert to Islam, so they won't achieve anything

The article is probably a scare story, and indeed, we must all hope that it is, because such a scenario could mean the start of nuclear armageddon.

But even if it proves to be false, the fact is that sooner or later it will happen. I think lunatic terrorists with nuclear weapons is the greatest threat facing us today. It's been on the cards for a long time, but none of the developed nations seem to have been motivated to do anything about it.

Nuclear weapons were always promoted as a means for maintaining the status quo, when they quite plainly were anything but. Our seeming inability to do anything really significant with regard to ridding the world of these things was seeding the nuclear wind - it's only a question of time when the reaping begins.

Problem is, though, you can never get the genie back in the bottle. Knowledge, once known, can't go away.

I guess I'm an optimist about it all. Kinda figure we wouldn't have this knowledge if we weren't evolved enough to handle it. I figure there won't ever be a nuclear armageddon, though there may be smaller outbreaks by this or that terrorist, maybe, or somebody (and God knows, that will be damaging enough).

These are the loonies who unilaterally decided that the border patrol wasn't doing its job and showed up one day armed to the teeth to go bag them some Mex'cans. If the Chechneyans had nukes they wouldnt sell them to AL Queda. They would save them for use against Russia. It is a fact that the Chechneans do have material to make a dirty bomb but thats not a nuke. I'm not saying they dont have any but if they did I suspect they would have pulled that card long ago. Suitcase nuke triggered via cell phone?.....um no.

An idiot with a trawler full of radio active waste blows it self up in the San Fransico bay, that would be bad and is more plasable than the suitcase nuke story.

Gee, how old are those bombs? Hmmmm... cell phones weren't really around back then were they... so they'd have to be 'custom fitted' onto the suitcase bombs. Well, I'm sure terrorists could figure out how to do that... (Yeah @#$%ing right...)

But what IS scary about this stupid story...is that to a lesser degree, it could happen.

I read the story, and it's poorly written, full of recent news and ideas/methods used in terrorism, but is completely made up and false. I wouldn't believe it for a second.

I just read this morning that terrorists threaten national toilet paper supplies. Don't think it can't happen here.
