To us from the other Nations - Aid for Katrina relief

I do not watch news at home, nor do I get a paper. I was fully aware of the devastation wrought by Katrina, I watch the weather. I have been reading the posts here and my daughter posted a news link on her blog.

I was at lunch watching CNN - and I was very moved, tears etc.... Many countries are offering US Aid. Never in my imagination did I envision that. I was blown away as the ticker at the bottom of the screen scrolled through how many countries were offering to help us out. It tempered some of my sadness.

I guess I should explain why I was blown away, I always feel we are the 'helpers' not the 'helpees'. I guess I can not explain it more, I can not find words for my feelings.

I will be donating my Tuesday stipend and more to the fund. Tuesday
