Just had a dozen people follow me around SL as we toured a selection of games. It was fun and everyone discovered something new and enjoyable they hadn't heard about.
How about running a hockey match at Spittoonie, I know I'd love to attend! We had a dozen people playing and it was a blast.

What People Want
03-23-2005 13:27
I think what people want is pleasurable growth, learning and socializing. In otherwords, nothing that deflates the ego, but makes people feel better about themselves while socializing. In that context, Cherry Took began using her automated truth or dare game at the spa and it has been very successful. These are available for sale at the Naughty Fun Store as well as the Phoenix Hotsprings Spa and Massage. The bonus of this is that it does what people need: self exploration, socialization, and group building. Many other games can do this too. Trivia (if the questions are well designed and don't specifically favour one type of individual over another type, for instance, an emphasis on math and science questions with no balancing language and humanities questions) is a good example of a game that can do those 3 things. Also, hanging around a little bar and chatting will, if there is someone there who can actually host. That is, can introduce people, keep conversation going, and keep the mood light. Our venue consistently has traffic over 2000, not bad for a place that isn't a night club, and that only got built last month. The reason is simple: staff, atmosphere, and easy events that people don't have to prepare a biillion years to lead. Truth or dare is easy: everyone knows the rules. The automated truth or dare makes sure no one gets ignored (people play round robin) and that the drawers are able to self-select their comfort zone (if a question is too easy, or irrelevant, they can draw again). The point behind any event is to craft a particular social atmosphere. A good host also has to be willing to eject people who disrupt that atmosphere. Hope that helped. ~ Perse From: Susie Boffin I don't know nothing about nothing but I do know that Tringo, Slingo, Zlingo and whatever bore the everloving life out of me. Those things may be for some people but not for all of us. I tried having a non-XXX dancing and music event and while it was well attended we crashed the SIM too much for me to want to hold another one in Vail.
My question is what do people want? I would hold events every day if I could figure out what people really want.
