Sorry Shelah!

This is a problem that is really tough to fix - some of the mail systems (at least Yahoo so far) are dumping us into bulk mail folders which are then easy to miss. We are trying to track down. Happening to a minority of folks (as is confirmed by this thread), but is a bummer nonetheless. I'll probably send you a test email to see if you get it.

So keep the answers coming in to this thread - we are looking into all the 'no' responses to try and figure out what happened.

I am so sorry to hear this George. You were one of the 1st ppl I met and helped me around my first few days.I enjoyed our chats. Good luck and best fortune to you George. I hope one day you get the chance to return to us.

I am so up set that with all the group Iming going on, I had no idea what was going on. I don't get to the boards every day. I asked at the meeting what it meant about "fallen member George", no one would give me an answer. Other than Pituca Chang saying you went to Phil.
I thought she ment for a few days. Some of the meetings called, seemed to be last min. or at a time when I was involved with an issue and we could come.

Linkin and I have left the group. Mostly due to the fact we have no idea whats going on. I guess this is our fault. We felt we really are unneeded. Being we did not have the funds to buy the required 1/16 of the sim. All memebers of a group were supposed to be able to buy land in the sim. No matter how small. I understand the purpose the group is handeling it the way they are. We couldn't afford the cost, as most of the older beta members could. I truely didn't expect to have any one just hand me the money, nor would I have wanted them to. How ever, even owning a small part would have made us feel we truely belonged in the group, and still would have gone with the groups ideas. I was hoping to talk to you about this when you came back from Phil. But as you can see being uninformed didn't help much.

For the others that read this post. It is not intended to cause a rif, or to hurt any one or make demands or say your doing what you need to incorrectly. I am simple pointing out, that the enthusiam of getting the new sim, has resulted in forgetting some of us.

Linkin and I are ppl who like to help others. We would help weather we were actual members of the group or not. But If I am expected to WORK and area I want to own a piece of it. I do not build well. I am not a scripter. My offers to help in the ways I know best were discussed with George. But with so much on his mind I can understand why, this was probally never mentioned to any one.

New emails using 3rd-party

We just sent another email using a 3rd-party email provider. Hopefully this will address the filtering by some of the webmail programs. Let us know if you don't get the latest round (just sent out this evening - Tuesday, June 17).

Since last night's email was another beta conversion offer, we filtered out the email addresses of all SL residents who'd already converted. So, if you'd already purchased an SL membership, you wouldn't have received the 2nd email.

So - from the posts here, looks like everything is working correctly.

Bel & Misnomer: you didn't get the second email because you've already signed up for paid memberships. There wasn't alot of new material, don't worry.

In general, this more recent batch of email should have been delivered much more reliably, but includes an instant unsubscrible link should you not wish to get this sort of announcement. Note that the unsubscrible link does NOT cancel your SL account.

I got the e-mail. Twice. On thanking me for beta-testing and telling me the pricing options available, and the other telling me sorry I wasn't selected for the beta but because I had applied I had some options for the pricing plan.
