 Again here I sit suprised that Jeska has not closed this thread. Its my understanding that personal attacks are not allowed. As far as you Tori, who are you and what "run in" are you refering to? Its a shame that people continue these holy attacks. Because one persons fun may be dancing at a club and anothers may be building there dream home, does this make this the only fun allowed? I think I have more "fun" than most I love the side of the game I play. You wont here me whine about what others consider fun. I think the whiners are loosing the thrill of SL. Its the creativity that draws me here and maybe I am missing the point it maybe it is the DRAMA that draws others. Just a though. |

Why should I have any sensitivity to someone who basically said poor people should "get a job" instead of playing SL? Why should I have any sensitivity towards anyone who claims I ruined their Christmas holiday for pointing out their logical fallacies in their argument and rantings? Why should I have any sensitivity to someone who's done this before, is doing this again, and will do it even more in the future? Why should I have any sensitivity for someone who claims they're going to leave, (yup, for serious this time, i'm outta here, cya guys, no really, not fooling), then they sell their plot to an alt, then they sell the plot back to the original owner, then put it for sale AGAIN at a ridiculous, marked up price ($L30/m last I checked)? I honestly wonder sometimes... how many times CAN you say goodbye? 4 times? Half a dozen? 405 times? Will we have to see this again and again every couple of months because someone's having a "Stressful week"? I have stressful weeks all the time. I don't shout at the world, blame the world for something they have little ability to change, go on a witch hunt, and try to ruin folks' reputations. I can only hope that if and when I finally decide to leave this game, I'll get at LEAST 2 dozen pages of goodbye. After all, I'd only say goodbye once, not 300 times. Sheesh. I suggest that you ask an old-timer here about the people who have been hounded on these forums. There were idiots like Regnar Bell, who contributed nothing to sl. But of those who have contributed, and have made a difference here, and have then been hounded unmercifully on the forums, you'll find that most, if not all, have been female. I agree with Selador's other points but I am befuddled by this propensity for citing gender based reasoning behind this and some other incidents in which the person being attacked was a female. We have had: Blake blaze Jon Morgan Regnar Bell Big John Korg Chris Nomad Jarod ...and others that were male, not to mention numerous female to female dramatic disputes. I can't speak for anyone else here, however, gender has, and never will play a role in my taking exception to certain behaviors within these forums.
