Your AVA can be hurted - wow????

At the startup page I can read a mess from Linden Lab - saying ”your Ava can be hurted by settings at peoples land”... (or similar)

Oh yes I have myself started a thread about al this crap from people that push Avas sims away... OR let the Ava tp home without warning (thats when we die isnt it?) - by only flying to a shop behind a landowners land...

We have 6 seconds warning.. some one told me.. oh yes try to fly over takes less than 6 seconds...or TRYING to fly over...

WHAT ARE THIS??? very strange attitude ( I blame people that do this not SL) to us that only want to be in SL and have a nice life in SL...

I dont like that we in SL must live with this kind of people that must throw us away... let them get own SIMs where they can do this.. let SL be an open place for open open people.. open minded to....

I dont know why the aggressive push scripts are allowed in SL. They should be banned totally. The serve no good purpose and in a virtual world where the Lindens constantly strive to keep peace it seems to just invite trouble to allow them.

...on mainland sims. People always forget to add that bit.

but a lot of people use the push scripts for other things. Taking it away would break a lot of stuff people made.

Well I was thinking that if I paid $200 a month for a private island sim off the main grid, and I allowed the public to use that for the most part, but wanted to control a small portion of my airspace hundreds of meters above the main builds, I shouldn't have indignant 'ban them all!' brigades telling me it's illegal. So sure. Ban them on the mainland 'fly thru' sims, by all means. But there is absolutely no reason to ban them totally.

That's what I did when I had my island, and the answer was REAL simple: anyone who complained about the tiny enforced no fly zone that only affected those deliberately being outright nosey and caused zero problems for legitimate visitors just got banned from the entire estate. Then they didn't have to worry their pretty little heads about it

Or do you want to ban those for everyone too, just because a tiny minority misuse them?

...yes why not? - guns and such they newer anywhere made any good.. for the boys or girls using guns should be separate sims (if they are to stay) .. and when leaving them the guns should stay there.. taken out in other places in Sl from inv they should vanish for ever...

There are other softwares that are made for kill kill kill shoot shoot shoot...

Didn't you just call for SL to be for open minded people? You better get your coat and hat and be on your way then, because you don't fit the picture.

You see, we're getting a clear picture of what you don't like in SL. But wanna know what I hate about SL?... people like you who want to ban scripts and tools I have legitimate uses for and want to use because it doesn't fit in with your little vision of what you want it to be. Face it, you don't *really* care if I go to a seperate sim or not, whether you say so or not. You don't care about responsible users at all. If *you* don't want it, no one should have it. I should go to another game altogether if I want to play with guns because it doesn't fit in with *your* plans.

When will all these small minded people learn that you don't have to squash the potential and innovation flat for everyone for ever with blanket rules about creating things, and that you merely need to squash bad behaviour in a small minority of people using these things. I'm really, really glad the Lindens don't listen to the small minded people who want to cull creativity and innovation so they can play Barbie.

Yes I can confess I dont like guns... or bombs or all kind of such.....in SL... or in the Real World.

Pity that so many are into it and belive in it.. and so many people (or avas) get killed.. so many times.. so often... by xxxxx that need them... or why they need them...

Who is we? you mean you. You don't want it, so I shouldn't have it. You don't know anything about me. You don't know how or where I choose to use guns. But you've made the decision for me. I don't need them. Like I said, selfish and closed minded.

I use guns in SL because they are fun. I shoot people only in designated areas where it's allowed like Rauch and Jessy. What's wrong with that? I mean, sheesh, we shoot on our own private area and people still have a problem with that! I know that alot of times people shoot in the sandboxes but usually ony with other people who are shooting with them, and they get introuble for that, so it's not like it's a rampant problem.

Also besides guns, I use push for cool effects the tracktor beam in my space ship, ammusment rides, games, toys, and all sorts of stuff that you can use your imagination for. Those of you who are not developers probably have no idea how usefull push can be and may even use it more than you know.

If someone abuses you with push then report it. If people report then people with be less likely to abuse.

No I dont know all about ”push” (?) as I dont do scripts.. Pls tell me.. all in forum.. pls.. in that case its about power in more daily use things as cars, fun lighting and more like that - --- or??

That's nice to know. I'm not against push, but I dont see why people feel the need to push you so hard that your ave gets ghosted and you have to reconnect. It's really annoying. Now that I know this I will be reporting more security scripts

Yes. It's been said that there is NO reason for a security script to use llPushObject, ever. You can't remove pushing outright, of course, since there's many peaceful and productive uses for it (flight assists, frex) but there's no reason why a proper security script can't just use the eject-from-land functions. If you rent, have your landlord stick it on there.

OK I get the use of the Push Scripts and I got to say I like my Guns and I do shot my “FRIENDS” and no one else. We only do it when we are having fun. No one is dieing no on is getting hurt. OK So it’s one friend and we have the same “Home” so when we die we end up at the same place. All is well.

Now what I don’t get is the “Security Push Script”. Security? I mean I can’t move any thing or take any thing. So what are you Securing? I just don’t get it. I was at my own place (Well a shared place of my Friends) and I working on our place and took a step over the line to our the plot next to us and I was pushed so fare I was lost and had to Teleport home. How is the Security push script for security. Why do you use it?
