Where did you get your avatar from? This is your forum avatar too btw.

I got my avatar from what I thought my dog would look like if he were a human. His face, that is. My other one is a hippo, and that doesn't need explination.

I got my forum avatar from Charles Darwin. Duh!

I have no forum avatar.

My in game avatar is trying to be Stephen Tyler from Aerosmith. I still have to make a mic stand and give him some better clothes. I'm not much for avatar mods though

I really want to make my nightshade from DAOC but thats gonna be hard!

Actually I got the inspiration from a variety of different model's I like, which is odd, because someone reffered to me as the J-Lo of SL the other day, and she wasn't part of the inspiration at all.

My forum Avatar is the one and Only Albert Einstein sticking out his tongue. From what I understand his greatest acheivement was going to school naked and not being expelled. So i thought true genuis should be rewarded here. Great topic Idea though, Darwin.

My forum avatar is a illustration I did in, well, Illustrator. I just liked how it turned out. It has the extra added bonus of adding a little levity in sometimes too serious forums.

The in game av discussion is in Hamelts stuff I think.

My av just turned out this way.....didnt think much about it. Have been thinking of making others but i cant make myself change.......and why should I , I like the way I look.

My game avatar is basically me more or less... my hair isn't quite as long anymore but I reshaved the sides and undercut again for summer... I wear similar clothing etc heh.
My forum avatar is umm... well, that damn Banana... he seems like a freakin hyper thing full of energy and perhaps annoying at times... So umm.. besides the annoying part, sorta like me also

My in game AV of a little redheaded girl with lopsided pigtails was created when I was hosting a storytelling event and wanted to make the main character in my story so I could bring the audience into it. It kind of grew on me, and well I am mischievous IRL too and don't like guys hitting on me, so it stuck! Now I get to kick people and they just say I'm cute instead of telling me to stop...

My forum AV is Storm from the X-Men. I love Storm! My lasertag codename is Storm as well... hehe

My present av was made by sassy apple a long time ago. I tweaked it up a bit cause she made me look like one of those party-going types with long hair and weird clothes.
I still tweak it often with various attachments and minor changes, when im in a role playing mood.
When I started building the disco for instance, i increased my muscles and height to the max, cut the sleeves on my americana tshirt, and put on a hard hat steller gave me.
I wish I could make an av that looks like me though. At least with regards to the face since my fat RL body would turn off all the chicks that constantly surround me

I even won Maggies contest for the worst dressed av today, merely by displaying my former avatars... lol!

Eh, well. So far I've only done one in-game av, and it looks more or less like me. Well, like me about 7 years (and 30 pounds) ago, anyway.

Except that my avatar is bald, and I have a "high and tight". Couldn't get that fine a level of control over the avs hair.

my avatar came from not knowing i could save over my original avatar when i was playing around with appearance and then being scared to try and fix it cause who knows what i would end up as this time and then it just stuck. and if you think i look like Christina Aguilera it's purely accidental i promise..

My Av started as simply my idea of what's pretty, or so I thought.

It turns out that maybe my Av has all the genes from my family that I didn't get. I just came back from a family reunion, and one of my cousins, who I have not seen since she was a baby, looked exactly like my Av, hair and everything.

As for my in-game av, the Lindens forced me to do what I do naturally when creating characters. I start with a name, then the character design follows.

I didn't like most of the available last names, but Leviathan seemed to work. As usual, I give my avs silly names, so I tried Tiny. Didn't work. So, being the Adult Swim viewer I am, I went down the settings of Reducto's shrink gun. Teeny worked.

From there, I just thought "tiny perky looking thing". Her final look took about 2 or 3 weeks of constant adjustments.

I set out to make my in-world avatar look as much like I do in real life as possible.

Only thing is... I'm not skilled in avatar building yet, so

I have a big gut and my avatar doesn't,

My avatar is a bit muscular and I'm not,

My avatar has a goatee type a thing, I have a scraggly beard (or am clean shaven),

My avatar is blondish, my hair is quite a bit darker,

My avatar has a large forehead to denote great intelligence, I kinda look like the guy that comes to unstop your plumbing.

I do wear jeans a lot and Linux t-shirts when I have one clean.

Oh, and I wear glasses, my avatar doesn't seem to need them.

Other than that, we look just alike.
