I don't seem to be able to connect, no matter what I do, I continually am getting stuck at the connecting to reigion section of the login.
I have tried the numerous things suggested on the various topics like this one, none of them seem to be working.
Anyone have any ideas? I would really like to get in game..

Hey Thomas, have you tried resetting your login location? Like try this link to launch SL and see what happens: secondlife://Ahern/128/128/And give it some time. Cheers.

Alright, I'll try it again, any idea how long it SHOULD take to connec the first time, the longest I've let it sit at the connecting page was about 20 minutes.

Check that any personal firewall you may be using is set to allow "newview.exe" to comunicate through it.
Norton is particularly good at stopping SL from connecting. Either turn it off (not good) or allow an exception for 'newview.exe'.

There have been some login problems lately and they are being addressed -- 20 minutes though is unusually long. My own personal longest time as of late has been almost 10 min. on a really busy day with a really tied-up queue, but generally I get in a lot faster than that. Maybe a couple of minutes. Hope you can make it inworld soon!

If he's getting past the login queue and is stuck at "Connecting to Region", it's not a login server problem. Thomas, is it at all possible that you're trying to connect on dial-up? What kind of network connection do you have? Is there a wireless network involved in any way?

Having this same problem. I exited out at the orientation island and I can't get back in. Just hangs at connecting to region... had not moved from where you first start, hit quit, tried to come back in and it just won't let me. Tried resetting start location to home (not that I have one..) didn't help.

Ravenmist, you may want to try these two suggestions I found: From: Jillian Callahan The answer is to connect to another region - usually anyway. Try clicking here. Found this tip here: /111/f7/54846/1.htmlFrom: Robin Linden If you have support questions...
---------------------------------------------
Please don't post them here. Chances are your log in problem is related to the overall system problems we're currently working on. Please retry, and don't quit while the servers are being contacted -- the servers think you're still connected and the queue slows down even further.
People are getting in. Also, we are continuing to watch for anything that is overloading the database. You will see more patches as we increase the efficiency of the system over the next several weeks.
If you do post a support request or a redundant post about a known issue, it will be removed. Support requests will be forwarded to the support team at support@lindenlab.com.
