stuck at connecting to region

Anyone else having this problem..I have tried numereous times to connect and it hangs up at "Second Life Coneccting to region..." Ive uninstalled ..reinstalled ..connected from home and last location ..still hangs up and moves no further..been doing this all day :mad: ..Help anyone!

The answer is to connect to another region - usually anyway. Try clicking here.

is it where your log in screen gets stuck at *connecting to region* and it doesn't load anymore? the SL client still responds and you can quit right?

if so can you post your log? i want to double check with mine to see if we have the same problem.

oh and no worries darzus, i had this problem for over a month with no solutions yet... so, better start calling those lindens.

Yes exact same spot..and can quit out ..but the bar will hang there for seems like an hour

:eek: a month ..sigh o well time to start lookin at someting else to do..hmm maybe City of heros..battlefield 2....damn i got a lot of work to finsh in game to ..ugg this sucks :(

Having this exact same problem, first time I loaded into game I loaded in fine, didn't move a muscle, at the orientation place, hit quit. Tried to log back in and it just hangs at connecting to region. Tried changing setting to home, then back to last one, tried two different links to get into another region, none of them work.

No firewall, no Norton.. it just won't load. :(

Well, guess that makes the 3 of us, can you two post your log in logs so I can make sure that we have the same problem before I sceam at anyone? Thanks.

Ravenmist, have you completely uninstalled and reinstalled SL? If so, can you post your SecondLife.log file?

(Assuming you're on Windows, you'll find it at C:\Documents and Settings\**YOUR_WINDOWS_USERNAME_HERE**\Application Data\SecondLife\logs\SecondLife.log)

When Cyn Linden's login was stuck at "Connecting to region", we closed it to find that Norton was posting a firewall warning in the background... Just another possibility out there.

My friend got a response to his complaint and it was a sad one...

They have people on it and it might take several days or weeks to resolve..THANKS does that mean we get frequent flyer miles??..:P
