I've decided that I have lost a lot of intrest in SL and have decided to quit. It doesn't make me happy and it's not as fun as it used to be. I've also gotten really annoyed with problems, bugs, taxes, and the changes in 1.1.

I hope someday I will come back, but I don't see the changes I would like coming any time soon. I will still be a regular on the forums since my account for the forums seems to have an endless expiration date so I will keep in touch and visit regularly. To all my in world friends, au revoir.

Sad to see you go little monkey...

and a bit surprised. But I guess I still live in my own little world timesones away.

On my own account I am still amazed how this game is NOT boring me. How I always just make a twist and a swap and then get all excited again when I lose interest in what I have been doing for a while. I tend to get bored very easily.
I mst have been braindead to have stayed in TSO for 8 months bored 6 of them lol

Hope to see you back soon Derek :)

Just know I haven't completely decided, but after losing 8 months of what I've worked for in one day, it's really got me down on top of my inactivity for the last few weeks.

Ahhhh, so that's what it is. Well, if there's anything that any of your SL friends can do, let us know. Don't let something like that keep you from staying with us Derek.

awww! I have only had the pleasure of hanging around you a few time so far Derek.. and even I would miss you.. if it is due to a glich or fubar in the game, please reconsider! A lot of us would be more than happy to help where we can! :)

If you do go, you will be missed, but I do wish you all the best!

My best laughs in second life came from seeing that little monkey running around. Hope to see you back Derek!

It's always sad to see people go. I didn't get to know you very well, but I met the monkey. I understand that the game can be frustrating at times, but from this thread you can see that you have people who care and will miss you if you still decide to go. It's still your decision wether you should stay or you should go.

I will also miss your monkey :D

I empathize. I've also lost/had taken from me by admins, and am currently slowly losing, things that took me a great deal of time and work to build. Once that happens it's tough to see the point of getting involved in something new. The SL cycle of creation, money problems, and forced compromise and/or destruction, can be terribly exhausting. It's like being an architect or inventor that has to destroy a current work to start a new one...every time. The fact that you now actually own the work makes it all the more painful.

But you have a lifetime account. So you linger on like a ghost, haunting the forums and materializing now and then to watch your money dwindle until whatever you have left is gone.

I miss our days of Olive tower destruction and mayhem -- those were fun. It's been good knowing you.

Good luck in your future projects, whereever you go!

I was really mad at what happened, but now that I've had some time to think about it, things don't seem so hopeless. I have a final project idea if I do come to the descision of quitting.

I also am reminded what a great community this is with all the people that posted here or IMed me. I now know how much I'll be missed if I decide to. I'm going to try to overcome what happened yesterday and get at least my final project done.

Tcoz, I don't have a lifetime :p I wouldn't feel the same if I knew I wasn't still feeding money into something like SL at times when things seem hopeless.

I'll be saving up for lifetime (No beta discounts anymore :( )
