You might want to sort out your rhetorical stance, first. "Incestuous" is a highly loaded word. It is just jam-packed with negative connotation. How about: "family-friendly marital union," or "pro-relative legal bond," or even "chromosomally-based sexual attraction"?

Choosing the most appropriate rhetorical approach to your argument won't help you in court, but it sure will help with the press.

The idea of kids being born with there arm coming out of there forehead and all is just plain stupid. Not know how the legend of disfigured babies coming from insestrial mating has come from but it’s not true. Truth is there are other problems. Taking a look at dogs you will see some of the problems like hipdisplasia. But if you want a human look at what the problems is, just look at the royalty. Some married siblings some just cousins. The Zars were really in to this. That is why many of the royalty had problems with hemophilia.

Most of Europe you can marry direct cousins (Your Aunt/Unless child). Were in the US you can marry at kissing cousins (Your Parents Cousins child). We have a idea how bad it is. How dirty. Think about some ways Northern look down on Southern, You know you’re a redneck when your family tree does not branch.

The other reason is the relations between family members was band in the bible. We should not be forced to live by biblical standards but we did. One Spouse, Polyamery is out. Inessential relations are out. Maybe for the best maybe not.

Well it was made illegal because of medical reasons. Do your research. There was a medical paper that came out about 6 months ago stating the odds of birth defects went up only .1% with sibling. They said that genetic defects went up 1%. Find the documents. Make a case that the reason, medical, was unjust and wrong. Then they will have only the bible to hold up to, and well that is just wrong and should not be done but has seen what happen to Same Sex Marriage.

But marriage does not necessarily mean children will be born, right? Are you saying that the only purpose of marriage, and therefore the only justifiable reason to be married is to bear children. I don't think you mean to say that.

By all means that is what I am saying. I am not saying that I believe that, but others do. One of the reasons the Anti Same Sex Marriage groups uses (if you push them for none biblical) is children. They state the reason for marriage is for children. So you have to fight that group. If the Child thing is taken from them then they only have biblical and that you can fight. The reason the law was enacted was because of Children. The fact you don’t want kids is not a problem for the law. If they let you then they would have to let every one, some of them would want kids and some would have them.

I thought you were kidding, Champie. I honestly have nothing against it. The thought makes me uncomfortable but intellectually I know that's only because the social stigma was taught to me by society, and for religious reasons (that I hold no stock in). There's really no good reason why any two consenting adults who wish to marry should be prevented.
