You know your all ranting about the FIC but something more powerfull exists that is the workhourse of the FIC and yet knowbody mentions it. It is the FOC (Fetid Outer Core) composed mostly of no-talent slackers that do the bidding of the FIC. The FIC can not accomplish their goal of total domination of SL with just an inner core of talented neo cons that design and promulagate the plans nessecessary to control and dominate the lives of the prolaterate of SL. They need an army willing to perform their instructions at a moments notice. Be afraid, be really afraid.

The other day I was at a party event just dancing away all by myself, finally I saw someone that seemed interesting to talk to so I im'd him and we started chatting a bit, a some what new player....You know what he told me... LMAO "I was UNAPPROACHABLE because I was FIC and tooooo old on game wtfreak does that mean??? That was the first time I had paid any attention to this thing called FIC can someone enlighten me? Is something wrong with me just because I am almost 2yrs old in game?? Or that I ran a successful Beach Club for a year and half of that 2 yrs, until real life hit me and I couldn't keep it up anymore. LMAO

PS: People I am approchable I have acually been able to do a little event hopping now that I don't have to work in game anymore like a real life job. Feliciaa, I have had numerous occasions where newish users were completely shocked that I didn't behave like the FIC picture painted of me. Some people have been downright frightened to talk to me. They expect this aloof, snobby "prom-queen" and I am just not like that.

Good Lord. I'm only four months old here, and I've been given the title of INFAMOUS Foolish Frost by so many people it stings. When did THAT happen?

Somehow, this reminds me of the idea that marrying old money doesn't make you old money, you just get to spend some of it. I don't know (and pretty sure I don't want to know) the details of your slippage through the castes into FICdom, but I'm still thinking "pool boy" unless there was some legal entanglement involved.

Sort of like when you reach a RL age where the supermarket clerks start calling you "Mame".

I don't dispute the fact that there are people who openly hate sucesfull people, or that people who do have taken up the whole FIC thing. But it's a mistaken assumption that the coiner of the term "FIC" is one of them.

Some little remembered-facts. Did you know that:
- The phrase "feted inner core" was first used in a flamewar regarding a property dispute, refering to the way so many people lept to the defense of the person who felt slighted?
- The person who coined "feted inner core" has a thriving business of his own?
- "Content barron" did not come from any of the people who write in the SL Herald. And I note its use in New World Notes, quoted in an interview with one of SL's most sucessfull players (Its actual origins at the moment are uncertian)?

I don't think Foolish is too far off in his views of cliqueishness in SL though. I have my own thoughts on the subject but its a long essay best saved for a: a blog and b: some night when I don't have semester finals to finish.
