If your av had a theme song, what would it be?
Include lyrics if you want.

Mine would definitely be something uncool, maybe by Barry Manilow.

With some liberal changin of lyrics... adn the inclusion of dave zeeman's name, sice no one else's really ryhmed.

Regulators
Regulate any stealin' of his property, we're damn good, too
But you can't be any geek off the street
Gotta be handy with the steel if you know what I mean
Earn your keep
Regulators, mount up

It was a clear black night, a clear white moon
BBC is on the streets, trying to consume
some skirts for the eve, so i can get some funk
just rollin' in my ride, chillin all alone

Just hit the eatside of the N.P.B
on a mission trying to find Mr. BBC
Seen a car full of skirts ain't no need to tweak
all you skirts know what's up with <2,1,3>

So I hooks a left on the 21 and Lewis
some brothas shootin dice so i said "let's do this"
I jumped out the ride, and said "what's up?"
some brothas pulled some gats so i said "i'm stuck"

Since these girls peepin me i'ma glide and swerve
these hookers lookin so hard they straight hit the curb
On to bigger, better things than some horny tricks
i see my homey and some suckers all in his mix

I'm gettin jacked, I'm breakin myself
I can't believe they're taking BBC's wealth
they took my rings, they took my rolex
I looked at the brothas and said "damn, what's next?"

They got my homey hemmed up and they all around
ain't none of them seeing if they going straight pound for pound
I gotta come up real quick before they start to clown
i best pull out my strap and lay them busters down

They got guns to my head
I think I'm going down
I can't believe this happened in my home town
If I had wings I would fly
let me contemplate
I glanced in the cut and I see my homey Dave

Sixteen in the clip and one in the hole
Dave Z is about to make some bodies turn cold
now they droppin and yellin
it's a tad bit late
Dave Z and BBC had to regulate

I laid all them busters down
I let my gat explode
now I'm switching my mind back into freak mode
if you want skirts step back and observe
I just left a gang of those over there on the curb

now Nate got the freaks
and that's a known fact
before i got jacked I was on the same track
back up back up cuz it's on
D-A-V-E and me
the BB to the C

Just like I thought
they were in the same spot
in need of some desperate help
the Dave Z and the B-child
were in need of something else
one of them dames was sexy as hell
I said "ooh i like your size"
she said "my car's broke down and you seem real nice,"
"would you let take me ride?"
I got a car full of girls and it's going real swell
the next stop is the east side motel

I'm tweaking
onto a whole new era
B-Funk
step to this
I dare ya
funk
on a whole new level
the rythmn is the base and the base is the treble
chords
strings
we brings
melody
B-Funk
where rythym is life
and life is rythym
If you know like I know
you don't wanna step to this
it's the B-Funk era
funked out with a gangsta twist
if you smoke like I smoke
then you high like everyday
and if your ass is a buster
BBC will regulate

Neither the title nor the lyrics of mine are suitable for the forums, but the artist is Prince. Or he is now. At the time this particular song was released his name was a symbol.

venturing a guess, also my theme song
09-08-2003 16:57
antagonistic-
could it be a certain song whose title when initialled equals P.C.?
i might be way off the mark, but if im not...good choice, and one of my favorite songs ;)

now for lameness:
mine would have to be Air for the G String (heh...she said gstring...) dont know why, i just get that in my little noodle every time i see my av. or "Female of the Species", i think its by Space...not sure on title or group for the latter, but a good song anyway ;)

Mine would probably be something by Spitvalves... My AV looks pretty skacore... Where are all the other AVs with funky hair colors? Do they only exist in the anime sim?

 would have to be...........

"Imaginary"

i linger in the doorway
of alarm clock screaming monsters calling my name
let me stay
where the wind will whisper to me
where the raindrops as they're falling tell a story

in my field of paper flowers
and candy clouds of lullaby
i lie inside myself for hours
and watch my purple sky fly over me

don't say i'm out of touch
with this rampant chaos - your reality
i know well what lies beyond my sleeping refuge
the nightmare i built my own world to escape

in my field of paper flowers
and candy clouds of lullaby
i lie inside myself for hours
and watch my purple sky fly over me

swallowed up in the sound of my screaming
cannot cease for the fear of silent nights
oh how i long for the deep sleep dreaming
the goddess of imaginary light

The allegro from BWV 1054. Well, I *am* a Bach.

(p.s If you haven't heard it, please try to listen to it, it's one of the most joyous piece of music ever composed - I recommend the Trevor Pinnock recordings of the Harpsichord concertos.)

Personally I like powerful (rather than "joyous";) music that evokes feelings of glory and imagery of battle.
"Dies Irae" from Verdi's Requiem is the perfect example of what I love, and so is "Fortuna Imperatrix Mundi" from Orff's Carmina Burana.
Non-trivial recommendations along that line... "One Winged Angel" and "Liberi Fatali" by Nobuo Uematsu.

It would most definitely be "Hard Headed Woman" by Cat Stevens. If only because I walked down the asile to it at my wedding ;).

I’m looking for a hard headed woman,
One who will take me for myself,
And if I find my hard headed woman,
I won’t need nobody else, no, no, no.

I’m looking for a hard headed woman,
One who will make me do my best,
And if I find my hard headed woman
I know the rest of my life will be blessed -- yes, yes, yes.

I know a lot of fancy dancers,
People who can glide you on a floor,
They move so smooth but have no answers.
When you ask "why’d you come here for? "
"i don’t know" "why? "

I know many fine feathered friends
But their friendliness depends on how you do.
They know many sure fired ways
To find out the one who pays
And how you do.

I’m looking for a hard headed woman,
One who will make me feel so good,
And if I find my hard headed woman,
I know my life will be as it should -- yes, yes, yes.

I’m looking for a hard headed woman,
One who will make me do my best,
And if I find my hard headed woman...

Ugly Kid Joe
As Ugly as They Wanna Be (1991)
Everything About You

I, hate the rain and sunny weather
And I, hate the beach and moutains too
(and) I don't like a thing about the city, no, no
And I, I, I, hate the country side too!

And I, hate everything about you!
...everything about you!

I don't like a thing about your mother
And I, I hate your daddy's guts too
I, don't like a thing about your sister
'cause I, I, I, think sex is overrated too.

And I, get sick when I'm around, I, can't stand to be around
I, hate everything about you!

everything about you, everything about you, everything about
you

Some say I got a bad attitude
But that don't change the way I feel about you
And if you think this might be bringing me down
Look again cause I ain't wearin' no frown!

I don't really care about your sister
F$$k the little bitch 'cause I already kissed her

One thing that I did to your lady
Put her on the bed and she didn't say maybe
I know you know everybody knows
The way it comes, the way it's gonna' go

You think it's sad
And that's too bad
'cause I'm havin'
A ball hatin'
Every little thing about you!

Everything about you, everything about
I get sick when I'm around
I can't stand to be around
I hate everything about you

Eggy,Carl Orff...very nice!!!
O Fortune,
like the moon
you are changeable,
ever waxing
and waning;
hateful life
first oppresses
and then soothes
as fancy takes it;
poverty
and power
it melts them like ice.

Hehe I did this one season for each of my softball teammates. I had each person pick a song and I cut it down to a 30 sec intro. As they step up to the plate, their song starts.
Anyway, for this style, mine would have to be Thunderstruck by AC/DC.

nice try neil, but your threadjacking attempts are FUTILE!!

*giggle* of couse the fact that we are sitting right next to each other posting makes it slightly more ridiculous.

to bring the subject back around, i have a change of theme:
Leonard Cohen's Hallelujah.

Now I've heard there was a secret chord
That David played, and it pleased the Lord
But you don't really care for music, do you?
It goes like this
The fourth, the fifth
The minor fall, the major lift
The baffled king composing Hallelujah

Your faith was strong but you needed proof
You saw her bathing on the roof
Her beauty and the moonlight overthrew her
She tied you
To a kitchen chair
She broke your throne, and she cut your hair
And from your lips she drew the Hallelujah

You say I took the name in vain
I don't even know the name
But if I did, well really, what's it to you?
There's a blaze of light
In every word
It doesn't matter which you heard
The holy or the broken Hallelujah

I did my best, it wasn't much
I couldn't feel, so I tried to touch
I've told the truth, I didn't come to fool you
And even though
It all went wrong
I'll stand before the Lord of Song
With nothing on my tongue but Hallelujah
