Week after week, wakeing up feeling exhausted and growing more and more misserable.. Wow what a difference sleep makes! eheh
Put on a song my dear friend Trinity gave me, sang along (Good morning starshine!!!!) what a way to start the day!
My advice, get your sleep dangit! Far more fun than staying up till 2am every day..heh.

what a difference ... a sleep makes ... (sings in tune with Natalie Cole) 24 little hours ... has the sun and the flowers .... since there ceased to be rain ...

You are so right. Lack of sleep completely ruins my mood. I need 8 hours a night. I think the last time I got that was when i was 7. I need to exercise a litttle discipline and go to bed earlier.

You know its documented somewhere (i don't know where), that you need to sleep in four hour cycles, therefore, sleep 4 hours - your fine sleep 6 hours- you will be tetchy sleep 8 hours - you will be fine Its quite unreal, but its true, i usually get around 4 hours and I wake up feeling fine, sometimes I do the 8hrs, and I wake up a lil groggy but fine, anything other than that and I just have huge bags, feel like crap and go around snapping at ppl all day

I do about 4-5 roughly, I can function on 3, but that is sucking vapors though, mentally.

During the war our sleep cycles were 4 hours. We were lucky to get it at times.

Hehe, this thread is apropos to my SL/RL conflict! Let me ask if any of you have this same problem. You play SL until midnight or later on a work/school nite, and then decide it's time to get some sleep. However, you're so wired that you lie in bed with your mind running at mach 10. Then, it actually takes 60, 90 -- even 120 minutes to finally FALL asleep! I purportedly have adult ADD (who doesn't???), and I've heard that this is a common phenomenon for us scatter brains. Is it just me, or is this some nefarious LL plot to zombify us all? Good topic, Hobbes! And btw, I really miss you and Calvin.

My body normally shuts down around 11 to 11:30 PST, sometimes earlier. I would have to be doing somthing really entertaining or with someone who can keep me up that late, but yeah when I stay up late I usually feel sleepy when it's time to get up. It feels as if I shut my eyes and quickly opened them to find out I already have to shower and go to work. If I get about 6 hours of sleep I'm pretty much fine, anything less it has to be on a weekend or Friday. Gotta love sleeping...

Glad my body shuts down, Eddie Sucks to be me, don't it? hehe I try all the usual tricks: --Deep breathing --Visualization techniques --Hypercin supplements --Calcium supplements --LOTS of melatonin And for all of that? Nada! I never take prescriptions unless absolutely necessary, so for now I will suffer in solitude.

However, not long ago I bought some tea called "Nighty Night" tea at our local Wild Oats store. The stuff is fantastic! The trick is, going to bed as soon as it makes you feel sleepy. I also recently tried Unisom and found that it works almost as well. Again though, the trick is hitting the bed as soon as you have the first yawn.

Well I have to wake up every morning, 5 days a week at 5:30ish AM and drive an hour on through LA Traffic on the 405 to the 101. I'm a network admin in RL so I'm always moving around at the office constantly checking on things off line or online (like SL forums and others ) for about 9 hours a day so when I get home I'm pretty burnt out and glad I'm at my desk relaxing, tired from an interesting day at work for the last 4 or 5 hours. After around that time (especially after dinner) my body get's pretty comfy and just wants me to rest. I don't know, but before when I was in college I used to stay awake all night, go to class in the afternoon when I didn't work. Some how waking up so early for work pretty much burns me out by the end of the day.

I am headed to GNC this evening and will look for it. If not, I guess I'll have to head over to Whole Foods! Also, have you tried Valerian root? Someone told me that works wonders, but I haven't yet tried it.
