Please only respond to this with a yes or PM me a yes. I am trying to gauge if there is enough support for a lifer sim.

The question at hand is who would buy a lifetime membership if say they charged $250.00. This figure is pulled out of thin air and has nothing to do with Linden Labs.

At that price, I will go with annual. For $50-$75 less, I will do lifetime.

I'd have to really think about it at that price. I want it and am willing to pay but thats a little out of reach for me at the moment. Family, mortgage.. you know. I'm sure a few of our students are also thinking "EEK!"
Maybe a bit less? Please?

Me being one of those students thinking "EEK!" I have to say I agree.

The mail we got asking us about our options said that, perhaps, we would be offered a lifetime membership for $150-$200. Now, if they really really needed it, I would pay the $200, but obviously I would love to pay the $150 instead.

What if they took $50 off the price with the added clause "must be a mentor" or "must build this or that". Hehehe ;) I know, the discount we get for being beta testers is the same exact thing, I'm just dreaming :P

I am hoping it will be on the lower side as well. At least until I find a job ;-)

I would have to compare life and yearly. I have never been daily attached to a game for more than 3 years so if the annually times 3 is less than lifetime, yes I will. If not, I will probably go with yearly and see what happens from there.

250!?!?!?!? Thats all you think it will be? Granted i've never seen pricing on any game for lifetime, but I am paying that per year on another game (granted i have like 6 characters) and its only Java!

I was thinking i'd be lucky if it was like 500 for lifetime, sign me up, take my soul, do whatever it takes if its only 250, haha i may be a starving college student, but at least i'll have fun!

What is "lifetime" anyway? X # of years by law? The life of the game? What if SL is replaced later with SLII? Is lifetime only on SL? Does it include sequels? Things to ponder....
